How many Chinese have ever head the Indian national anthem, let along sing it? By your logic, te answer is 1 out of 1 billion+.

Regardless, I've heard the Chinese anthem. While I haven't sang it, I accompany an NRI chorus (on harmonium) which sings it on a regular basis.

It's rather uninspiring though - the composition displays very few attributes of traditional Chinese music.

The Mongolian national anthem, Mongol Ulsyn Toriin Duulal, is composed in traditional pentatonic scale and prominently features a guzheng in the official rendering. Now that is an anthem which shows that the people care about their musical roots.

You pretty much proved his point. He was saying, that she is one out of one billion who took the time, and instead of appreciating the good gesture, you criticise the pronunciation and tune.

Very sweet voice. Must appreciate the effort she took to learn the anthem and sing/play it on the piano.

The anthem itself though puts me to sleep...one of the most insipid, peacenik, uninspiring and actually insulting at a certain level, because it was written in praise of the British monarch (yea, he was supposed to be the "Bharata Bhagya Vidhataa" ).

I should have learned the German National Anthem during my three years there in mid to late 70's. Through the medium of Internet, I learned something new and thanks to Brigadier Ray and Known_unknown. His speech was inspiring enough to make me dream that I am standing in front of large gathering of my fellow citizens of Bharatvarsh and doing exactly the same thing to inspire and motivate them to do positive things for their Janambhumi. I will be watch it several times before my next step.
