Hahaha ... we have the chipmunks rattled. Why is the word warn used? He is quivering that we are openly talking about their direct threat, two front war, China specific doctrines etc. Bravo India, keep it up. They should know we arent to be fcked around with.:thumb:
Indeed.

If china started praising India then it would raise more red flags imo.

Millions of Indian children are starving to death, tens of millions of Indians can't find work, India is running both a trade and fiscal deficit, and you want India to spend its hard-earned foreign currency on French fighter planes that contribute nothing to India's industrial base except depreciation?4

Given the Indian economy, India ought to swallow its pride and spend its forex importing things that can actually help its people, instead of lining the pockets of defense contractors.
Save your breath, all the indian members here don't need to worry such kind of thing. Starving children or unemployement people are remote things for them.

Chinese general warns India against 'new trouble' as AK Antony visits Beijing

Chinese general warns India against 'new trouble' as AK Antony visits Beijing | NDTV.com

Beijing: An outspoken Chinese general known for his nationalist views warned India today against stirring up "new trouble" in a long-running border dispute, just as Defence Minister AK Antony was set to visit Beijing.

"The Indian side should not provoke new problems and increase military deployment at the border areas and stir up new trouble," Major General Luo Yuan told reporters.

Major General Luo, the deputy-director general of the world military research department at a People's Liberation Army academy, described himself at a briefing as a "reasonable hardliner".

He made waves last year with comments questioning the legitimacy of Japanese sovereignty over the Ryukyu Islands, a chain that includes Okinawa and hosts numerous United States military bases.

"India is the only country in the world that says that it is developing its military power because of China's military threat," said Major General Luo, who was wearing a business suit.

"So I believe that India should be very cautious in what it does and what it says."

A high-altitude frontier dispute between the nuclear-armed giants in the Himalayas has simmered for decades but intensified in May over troop movements in the region.

New Delhi alleged Chinese troops intruded nearly 20 kilometres into Indian territory.

A three-week standoff ensued and was resolved after talks between local military leaders and a withdrawal of troops from both sides.

The border situation was now generally "under control" following a visit to India in May by Chinese Premier Li Keqiang, Major General Luo said.

His comments came as defence minister AK Antony was due to arrive in China later today for three days of talks, the first such trip in seven years.

Mr Antony's visit, on which he is accompanied by top Indian military commanders, coincides with a trip to China by Pakistani Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif.

Pakistan, India's nuclear-armed neighbour and arch-rival, is a longstanding close ally of Beijing. Chinese officials describe their relationship with Islamabad as one between "all weather friends".

......................................................

Good India deserves to be even bullied by these yellow frogs.

What Mr. Antony is going to tell his counterpart during his visit to China ? Muzzle this loud mouth PLA dog Luo Yuan?
this kind of psychological warfare is known from Chinese when foreign dignitaries from enemies visit china.
has this become "CHINESE" tradition??
instead defense minister should cancel his visit for having this kind of responce

China is clear about the fact that so long India remains a viable nation, China's hegemonic desires over Asia will never be accomplished.

This apprehension forces China to thunder now and then so as to keep India on the backfoot while playing footsie so as to simulataneously reap a rich harvest from the huge Indian market and exploit the Indian weakness of putting a cheap bargain above quality.

No they aren't, tens of millions of Chinese can't find work, China is running both a fiscal deficit and you want to take Indian land that contributes nothing to China's industrial base except depreciation?

Given the Chinese economy, India ought to redouble its efforts for military modernisation so it doesn't get overrun by a bunch of Chicoms.

We will be getting ICBM, SLBM, BMD, SSBN, nukes on hair trigger alert and got SSN and lots more in future it is nothing that Chinis can do about it. We may do some missile exports if things go bad. All to be used against china.
when prc has made real and fully functional 3 mega ton above scale hydrogen bomb work and explode...made our real and fully functional ICBM and successfully tested our ASAT and mid course BMD missiles and successfully tested settallite capture technology via manned space missions in the past there was nothing india can do about it.

sure except for some completely failed attempts by RAW plus SFF plus CIA missions to scout our tech improvements back in 1960s....funny and laughable.

Why do they have to threaten India with consequences ? Can anything worse than the ruling party "happen" to India ?

India is already seeing the worst phase in out short-lived history. PRC should not get overworked & let the Congress do the job for them.

Indian economy & indians are suffering because all hard earned forex reserves is going to defence contractors. The reason:

1. China arm-twisting along India's border and claiming Arunachal to be a part of China.

2. China supplying high-tech weaponry to Pakistan which will be used by it against India.

3. Pakistan's strategic asset Lashkar-e-Toiba & Jaish-e-Mohammad may use these Chinese weapons to kill innocent lives in India.

4. China's String of Pearls strategy to contain India.

did or would A5, K15 (iron box under sea vesion ) or ATV (with nuclear engine and sea trial sucessful?) stop prc from what i said?

the 2nd mid course BMD missile test and settallite capture technology via manned space missions done this year.

you know how many 'will's does prc have??? you only know how to look into your own stockpile dont you?

And China is a super power where there is no poverty and all Chinese have jobs and roam around in BMW's.

The logic you are providing is pathetic. You need to tell this to Pakistan and not India. You are just feeling so insecure of India acquiring weapons.

Whether or not China or Pakistan has poverty is irrelevant to this argument. The argument is that India - the world's largest importer of weapons - would be better off spending its scarce forex on industrial/agricultural technology rather than imported fighter planes. You have yet to refute it.

But are points #1-4 worth "eating grass" over? There are trade-offs India should make for the sake of developing its economy and making sure its demographic bubble doesn't turn sour.

The experience over the past thirty years should demonstrate that China's focus on reverse-engineering dual-use technologies while focusing on the industrial base works, while India's focus on acquiring whole weapons systems with restrictive licensing agreements doesn't.

You should NOT decide for India as we can also decide what China SHOULD do.Give freedom to your people and let media show skeleton in your closets.

We would generate enough money from our own to buy planes and also eradicate poverty as well.Recently the Food Bill is a good step in that direction. You should control your Generals being a butt of jokes by threatening. You seems to be having the same tone. You are just getting insecure and scared of India buying/developing advanced weapons which is going to neutralize your numerical strength.

Your Mighty Mouse General is turned into the below Joker... Look the way the Indian girl is laughing in the background.

The statement from the so called Chinese General shows that China is in deed has worries on growing Indian strength in the TIBET border... They have understood that numerical superiority on their side for last few decades will not going to help them now with increasing India military strength and infrastructure at the border"¦ That General could not hide that"¦

When any shouting match with Pakis, Indian side has response.

With Chinese warning, Indian side muted.

I myself in dilemma which approach is better, response or no response. But All agree that situation on LAC and resolve of our leadership is important.

Tu quoque - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Tu quoque /tuːˈkwoʊkwiː/,[1] (Latin for "you, too" or "you, also") or the appeal to hypocrisy, is a logical fallacy that attempts to discredit the opponent's position by asserting the opponent's failure to act consistently in accordance with that position; it attempts to show that a criticism or objection applies equally to the person making it. This dismisses someone's point of view based on criticism of the person's inconsistency, and not the position presented,[2] whereas a person's inconsistency should not discredit their position. Thus, it is a form of the ad hominem argument.[3] To clarify, although the person being attacked might indeed be acting inconsistently or hypocritically, this does not invalidate his argument.
We would generate enough money from our own to buy planes and also eradicate poverty as well.Recently the Food Bill is a good step in that direction.
Actually, the Food Bill lines up against this argument; the argument is that India should spend its forex on importing technology from abroad that makes its people more productive - not on fighter jets that just sit in some hangar, waiting for expensive spares from Marseilles. And again, you have failed to refute it.

You should control your Generals being a butt of jokes by threatening. You seems to be having the same tone.
Irrelevant to the argument.
