With 400kg warhead and Kinetic energy it can sink any ship known to exist and can put off a carrier from operation from atleast 1-2 years(repairing) and 2 missile hit.than Khufa hafiz

i think its too early to call it a carrier killer (of coz depending on what AC it has to deal with).........for prc the only AC potentially we need to handle is from the US.....but if missiles like this kind can fulfill the role is questionable as far as i am concerned......the speed maybe enough.....but the strik range??? even if PLAs own missile like YJ-12 can fly 400-500 kms thats still not far away enough from all the fighter jets (jets range plus BVR) and missiles from US AC groups in times of war who can easily attack the carriers of yj-12 and cm-400.......so the best chance may only be 50-50 which may mean a lot of our pilots cant make it back safely.......

and if the missiles are put in subs (can they now?dont know).....still US AC groups are defended well by all the nuclear subs and p3 p8 etc can fly real far to give support from land besides the settallites that can trace our subs in the space......how ever sub attack using these new missiles may be the remainning option that has better chance.......

The day we see a Chinese rocket hitting a bull's eye at ~Mach 3 you can start calling Russian rockets junk (irony ?). I dont think CM-400 has even been tested yet from JF-17 and i have my doubts over Chinese and tani big mouthed claims of it hitting a moving or stranded ship, Sir.

The USA has had antiship missiles for 30 years now, the technology should not be that hard, bombs, missiles, recognition soft ware, a picture of the target is downloaded to a missile or bomb and then it recognises the target and strikes it.........there are lot of bombs like that in Israel,,,, lot of people dont know it but US military uses Isreal to store a lot of its bombs, those pulled from Iraq, plus thousands of smart bombs that were sent there just in case they were need for a war with Iran. tens of thousand of smart bombs plus Israel makes some of their own.

Pakistan is playing like a nation of foolish, Used by US in 80's for its own purpose and then left to rot.
Decisions that Pak took that time are the reason for state of pakistan, if you cannot learn from your mistake of mixing religion with govt, pak is destined to fall same as any foolish empires fell, i cannot call pakistan a nation but a religious empire ruled by weak rulers.
as US started moving away with its purpose served in this region, pakistan is running naked and desperate around for someone else to be dictate by.
and China has found a foolish nation similar to N.korea that can say Y when order to do so from its GHQ.

Chinese never came to help of pakistan not in 65, 71 or 99.

If you check the video of SY 400 youtube video, it is same rocket, they just modified it for Junk fighter launch and to allow Pakistanis to jump up and down, give it anti ship name. Even PLA is not using this missile, that says it all.

Wading through all the nonsense on this thread is taxing so I'll ask you... Who exactly called CM-400 an anti-ship missile?

Because all the manufacturer's specifications I can find designate it an air launched land attack missile designed for use against high value, SAM protected, fixed targets at stand-off range...

Can it hit an aircraft carrier at sea? That's up for debate. What's not up for debate is its 240km range at high altitude launch and its speed.

I think it is misinformation. The blast pattern is not consistent with a large payload.

quite on the countary chinese really dont tend to think supersonic anti ship missiles can just easily be called carrier killer.
