Executive Order 9981 is an executive order issued on July 26, 1948 by President Harry S. Truman. It abolished racial discrimination in the armed forces and eventually led to the end of segregation in the services.
From what I gathered, a Chinese-American GI in Korea was able to get the edge on Red Chinese volunteers because he spoke their language.Could you give us more information on the topic ? That link in the first post isn't very helpful
