Not sure what you are getting at ma'am? Unlike the superior J-20, the inferior J-31 is being developed for
export, just like the American F-22 and F-35. Many countries will have no access to the F-35 due to political or financial restrictions and that is when the J-31 comes in the picture. PAF will enter the stealth era in due time to counter threats and maintain the regional status quo and yes, we modify the J-31 to meet our ASR. Unlike China, we have do have access to European technology and can integrate western systems into our jets.

J-31 is much ahead of its development schedule compared to the JSF when it was in same stage. Western media will remain.biased towards China as much as she was against the Soviets during the Cold War. But they were proved wrong time after time with jets like the Mig-25, Su-24 and Tu-160.

The media is accusing China for stealing sensitive F-35

No Sir, I do not. US will maintain its technological superiority over China and Russia for a long time but the gap will get shorter to a level when they become a serious threat.the F-35 has been in the air for more than 8 years now vs 2 years of J-31 (27 months). How was F-35 doing when it was two years old? It is still not ready!
How on earth can you expect the J-31 to perform like a matured platform? Where will it be in six years from now?

I didnot compare the J-31 with the F-35, blame it on the media sources you have quoted or the rumors that China is integrating stolen technology into the J-31.

All I have said is that give China some time and wait another few years to see how the jet evolves.

1. Three J-31 for a price of F-35? Like 3x Jf-17 for price of a F-16?

2. F-35 is Joint SF and not export SF. It will/are be/being inducted in USAF/Navy/Marines. Not sure now J-31 will be inducted in PLAAF. They may reject it like JF-17.

3. What European technology you have in J/F 17? You always had access. The farthest west you managed to go was South Africa.

4. Those countries who haven't had/have access to F-16 still didn't go for JF=17. So how can you be sure that those countries would go for J-31 in future?

None of them were built solely for export. Were they?

If west would be surprised, they will be from J-20, the flagship program.

J-31 being developed solely for export, is only for quick bucks.
