Do a small experiment. Go talk to any Frenchman about Raphale & then tell me whether you understood my point. Trust me we had got nothing on French when it comes to internet nationalism.
That's hardly specific to Frenchmen... There are Brits who will still insist that the Typhoon can go toe to toe with an F22 on many an internet forum. User nationalism is by its nature universal.

Still doesn't make @Armand2REP French though....

Yeah, you could be Indian for all we know:wink:... It's weird how some people are so ashamed of their nationality they spend 9+ years impersonating a Frenchy.
Why do you continue with this character assassination? Your argument must be very weak to resort to that.

So i suppose you managed to sink an entire task-force using a non-AIP Scorpene in a deep sea, open ocean environment during these 1000 hours? Your tales keep getting taller and taller Armchair Admiral Sir!
Again with the name calling. Where have I ever disrespected you on a personal level?

With the addition of Black Shark and F21 Artemis defeating a surface group becomes 10X easier over legacy torpedoes.

A healthy respect for SSK's is in order for any Navy operating in littorals and maritime choke-points, which the US Navy does regularly with their land target bombardments. But remember that your post was to the effect that a Scorpene could sink an entire task-force in a deep sea environment. To which I call BULLSHIT!
You can call whatever you want, but the simple fact is your ASW assets are at an 80s level and you are dealing with threats with a 30 year lead time. You won't detect the Scorpene at 40km+ when it launches the F21 salvo and you won't detect the strike until they go active homing. With the ability to set and adjust way points after launch, guessing the direction they came from is exactly that, a guess.

A CBG steaming at 20+ kns with an ASW escort(including an SSN BTW) and airborne assets screening their route in a deep sea environment VS a conventional sub only capable of moving at 4-8kns submerged for a very limited amount of time? And you claim to be a naval expert with 1000hrs on a simulator.
The only claims I make are knowing more than you about the paper tiger ASW of PLAN vs the latest French torpedoes. You buy into the Kool-Aid of your propoganda machine thinking you are the equal to a US ASW screen.

Go post your "one or two" brain fart analyses somewhere else my "French" friend. If 1.5 ton diesel electric subs could sink entire task forces anywhere anytime no one would bother investing billions in carriers and their escorts.
1.5 tonne brain farts is all you have left. China hasn't invested what it needs into ASW because it isn't sexy, it is more important for them to have a bunch of propoganda carriers with no serious capability and lacks the defences to protect itself from assymetric threats.

*sigh

@Armand2REP IF you're going to pretend that you know anything about the ASW sensors and platforms of the Chinese Navy. Please elaborate with sources how exactly their ASW sensors, weaponry and platforms are "80's level".

The best cure against any troll is to ask for source material to their claims. I'll wait.

Steam turbine for a 55,000+ Tonnage class ship

-------------

for the indigenous Steam turbine tech development and evolution , PLAN keep introducing the type 051B and 051C Destroyers in small amounts in the early of this century to keep the relevant R/D team and Production Capacity of naval steam turbine... the Type001A/002 are using the varient of this propelling plant

Steam turbine? I doubt they are using such old tech for a new vessel such as this.

LOL... essentially the CVN/SSN is also steam tubine driven, the difference between the Conventional powered and Nuclear Powered large tonnage Heavy Carrier is : where the steam comes from? -- the heavy oil-burning boiler or the Nuclear Reactor

Naval nuclear power Propulsion for the ships...

Progress Update.

A lot of scaffolding has been removed from her island, but none of the equipment on deck has been removed as of yet.

The exhausts are still spewing heat and smoke though. The ship's internal spaces are most likely heated for the outfitting crews, considering the cold in Dailan at the moment.

Scaffolding around the main APAR's has been removed. It seems that her main radars are completely installed. Still a lot of clutter on deck though.

Installation of the vessel's life rafts has begun:

Make sure you have enough on board as these will be required very soon and very often. China item it may go to moon and come back or it could sink like Titan on very first trip......:scared2::scared2::scared2:

in 10 years, CHina might have 6 AC groups.

but AC groups is just a police tool to bully small/mid-size countries.

for major powers like USA/China/Russia,AC groups are just sitting ducks.

so, China should pay more attention to nuke subs, instead of AC groups.
