@Martian In case of nuclear energy, India may not have started at large scale yet aims to produce 1/4th of total energy output by nuclear power till 2030.
As we are achieving other goals, it will be achieved also. Also, expected to become 4th or 5th largest exporter by 2030.
India is investing more in R&D, Education and Healthcare etc..
India drives many projects in other countries too. Indian HDI is also leaping.
Percentage of skilled labor is also expanding very fast.
You must understand.
Working model of Indian Economy is quite different. India is a service based economy who is trying to provide an industrial base to pull remaining 12% population out of poverty.

A cheat country can't pull it's own with driving projects in other nations like India is doing. Nor any country will like to invest huge money in a cheat and failing country unlike happening in India.

The soviet Union was a formidable union and had areas of prestige and flirtatious viewing that included large clean infrastructures and military equipments yet the power and structure was dissembled ... But why . we can anaysle and say what if that and what if not. Good for learning and knowledge. We can also look at Japan and see how they are going into negative rates and its past financial issues. We can also look at India and its devaultion adventurers and banking reforms.

Can we learn from past experiences and situations on the future ? Can we be outright clueless and assume all will be fine because of past and its learnings ?

India's base is lower. On a 2 trillion base, 7% is 140 billion. India has VERY HIGH savings rate and is adding infrastructure at a good pace. It is not only nuclear power plants. India's power generation capacity has crossed 200 GW, which is not small considering India is a subtropical country. India's power demands naturally are much less than colder countries.

India's target of 100GW solar is very commendable and doable due to large wastelands in sunny Rajasthan and Gujarat.

If anybody thinks India is not adding 140 billion per year GDP, that is only wishful thinking.

@Compersion, too much credit expansion always gives problems later. The credit expansion has to be controlled. India's RBI has done a very good job traditionally in managing India's finances.

India has taken a different and responsible route towards economic progress.

Wrong! India is an agrarian economy with thw worlds largest arable land. Over 70% of population are engaged in agricultural sectors after 70 years of independence.

China Car Sales Driven Lower by Slowing Economy

Sales fall for third month in a row

Passenger car sales slipped 3.4% to 1.42 million vehicles last month, following a 6.6% decline in July and a 3.4% fall in June. Combined sales of passenger and commercial vehicles fell 3% in August to about 1.66 million vehicles, the government-backed China Association of Automobile Manufacturers said Thursday.

China’s largest auto maker by sales, SAIC Motor Corp. , has forecast zero growth in industrywide sales of passenger and commercial vehicles this year.
