we dont have Yakhont do we? anyway to sink some US AC is still difficult even with our new DF-21d and ACs and nuclear subs. when J-20 and new UAV finished those may be better things to target their AC groups....but thats something in the future........

besides...a large number of subs of the US can be some real threats to china even in convential wars and we should not just focue on their AC groups.

USA has focused their naval strategy for decades around the Pacific allies and invested Trillions of dollars for this purpose, why would USA change their policy now??
idint say the US SHOULD change anything now...all they can do is doing business with PRC while trying to contaion us.....but the best the US can go is launching a new cold war not hot 1 towards PRC.

then when u think its gonna happen??'All it takes is a couple of OHIO subs to light up the whole Chinese Eastern seaboard and send them back to the stone age

Yes, China has Yakhont (Brahmos/Onyx). There are 8 of them on each of the 4 Sovremenny Russia sold to China. Who knows how many china has reversed engineered since.

when China goes to war with one of USA's Pacific allies, almost all the Countries around China are US allies and they have a dispute of some sort with China. But for now USA is busy selling weapons to build them up.USA has no solution or intention to pay the debt it owes so many hawks in Washington are pointing to a military solution for this

Brahmos is Yakhont like su-30mki is su-30.....russia didnt sell it to china with sovremenny....anyway in theory yaknont cannot penetrate the air defence line made from f-18 now to f-35 in the future of the US AC groups. launched from subs....maybe...

China has sizzler/klub which is a deadly missile. But it will do nothing against F-18's or F-35's.

yes u r rite but the Us can always waste the whole PRC militarily (what would be the price for US doing so is another thing that can vary from 1949 till now)....but why didnt the Us do anything major directly towards PRCs lands?....not even in korea war and in vitnam war? the most interesting thing is not just to china.......the US threantened to deal with nations like iran north korea etc for like centries.....and when u gonna go for action???why u so hesitate??

US could have nuked Pakistan, Saudi and Afghanistan back to nowhereistan! But they didnt. Why ? It is called being civilized. You chicoms wont get it. US is so far ahead of China, that they can obliterate them without even suffering anything. ONE HIT. NOT EVEN ONE HIT

New US Bomber Aimed at China? | Flashpoints

New US Bomber Aimed at China?

$3.7 billion. That's how much the US Air Force proposes to spend over the next five years developing a new, stealthy, long-range, manned bomber likely specifically intended to penetrate Chinese air defences. The plan, included in the Obama administration's 2012 budget, could lead to the production of around 100 new bombers by the mid-2020s—and could significantly tip the Pacific balance of power.

Last week's bomber announcement marked the continued escalation of the arms race between the United States and China. Since early 2010, China has debuted a new stealth fighter prototype (the Chengdu J-20), brought ballistic anti-ship missiles into service and at least temporarily matched the US in sheer number of satellite launches (15). Meanwhile, the United States has deployed long-range spy drones to Guam, test-flown a new carrier-launched drone fighter and begun development of new supersonic anti-ship missiles—all in addition to the new bomber programme.

According to Air Force Vice Chief of Staff Gen. Phillip Breedlove, the bomber will comprise the biggest part of a 'family of systems' that will also include a non-nuclear ballistic missile plus new munitions for the bomber and two types of stealthy drones that might be controlled from the bomber. The new missiles and planes will be 'decades ahead' of what other countries might possess, Breedlove claimed.

The Air Force might also add lethal lasers to the bomber at some point in the future, said Gen. William Fraser, head of Air Combat Command.

The Pentagon's bomber development coincides with the scripting of a new battle plan aimed at preserving US military capabilities in the Pacific. This so-called AirSea Battle plan is meant to help coordinate US Navy and Air Force ships and planes to better defend Taiwan from possible Chinese attack, while also countering Beijing's efforts to expand its influence beyond its territorial waters.

The United States' current force of some 160 B-1, B-2 and B-52 bombers, armed with guided bombs and missiles, already factors heavily into US Pacific war plans. But of these bombers, only the 20 B-2s have any ability to evade Chinese radars; the B-1s and B-52s could be vulnerable to Chinese fighters and surface-to-air missiles. The new bomber would likely displace some of the B-1s and B-52s and result in a more survivable long-range force.

The US Air Force base on Guam already hosts a rotating detachment of B-52s and B-2s. As the new bomber nears service, the Air Force might install new 'hardened' hangars—either buried or armoured—to protect the valuable planes from Chinese ballistic missiles, according to Gen. Gary North, commander of the US Pacific Air Force.

North has hinted at one of the roles the new bombers might play in any future war with China. He said the key to defeating the new J-20 fighter would be to prevent it ever taking off from its mainland bases. Bombers might be used to attack Chinese airfields in the early hours of a conflict.

If not with Sovremenny, then in a separate deal after 2000. Both Yakhont and Brahmos are downgraded Onyx for export. US CBGs have never been tested against volleys of any of these anti-ship missiles, so to assume they are impenetrable is really just conjecture. YJ-91 (Chinese sea-skimming krypton) is another formidable missile.

Brahmos was developed as a joint venture with Russians there is nothing downgraded about it from Onyx. This is misinformation. Your YJ-91 is the downgraded reversed engineered junk.

The fool doesnt know that, Onyx is the export version of Yankhot, and Brahmos is the better version of Yankhot, AND ALL OF THE HAVE THE SAME RANGE.

It is P-700 GRANIT, which has 550 kilometer range, but that mofo is double the size of all the above.

Yes, that's why Russians don't use your Brahmos, because they want to save the best for India.

India owns 51% of Brahmos, at 3 million a piece Russians rather make their own cheaper cruise missiles. And with Brahmos they would be under MCTR.

A modern ship can cost over $1 billion. The return on investment is 500x if you sink one ship. With all the billions in petro dollars the Russian have, you are telling me they can't afford a $2 million missile they helped create themselves???

things like Brahmos or su-30mki or T-50 can be done without india but cant be done without russia so its not a problem of who owns 51% or not.

i think russia can make Brahmos or su-30mki or T-50 with somalia if somalia had enough money to pay and the differences r some river in somalia would be used as a name or something like Su-30mkS will be called.......but anyway as long as india has these....their military power gets increased obviously.

It's not a question of making it alone but ownership. India has deadlier missiles made indigenously.
