LIU Ya-zhou, political commissar of the PLA National Defense University, Lieutenant General, has an exclusive interview, criticising the existing political system, strongly advocate the American democratic system, denounced China's lack of tolerance of facing the truth, directly expressed that a system which does not allow civil liberties to be expressed, can not be representative to the people on the leadership positions would be "bound to perish"; he even predicted that China in 10 years, will undergo democratic transformation, saying that it was inevitable, because of the Chinese Communist Party, "there can be no retreat."

LIU Ya-zhou's words of astonishment was published in the latest issue of "Phoenix Weekly," but the publication also declare that the contents under the exclusive interview, has not yet been approved by Liu himself. This interview entitled "Western theory", the first part mainly discusses the complexity of western China's international environment, suggest that the positive response should go west. But in the latter part of the interview, he expressed his views on current politics, alarming a rhetoric point of view.

More money does not mean the "soft power" would upgrade

He began criticising the CPC popular "economic power" and "dollar diplomacy" thinking, that "more money does not means the soft power would upgrade"; He used Chinese bribery in African investments as example, with money to clear the way, that not only increases African officials appetite, but also causes the local population to be extremely offensive towards China. The top-down in China today are full of "money makes things, money can settle everything," enthusiasm. He said: "Money alone can not long term maintian China's national interests abroad, or even to maintain peace and stability within."

LIU Ya-zhou states that the fate of a nation, not is only decided by military and economic power, but on forms of civilization, "The decision we (Chinese Communist Party) need is political reform." He used the example of the former Soviet Union as a methaphor, the fall of the Soviet Union is not because of its exconomic power, military power but its system, "which does not allow civil liberties to be expressed, cannot be representative to the people on the leadership positions, is bound to perish. "

People's Liberation Army generals LIU Ya-zhou then expressed more alaming words.

He predicted 10 years of political transition

He also pointed out the Soviet Union also stressed the purpose of stability with the view of "stability above all, money, settle all, the results intensified the contradictions, all the reverse." He also predicted that China's in 10 years, would inevitably transform itself from an authoritarian to a democracy. China will undergo a great change in the situation. Political reform is a mission entrusted by history. We (the CPC) is impossible to retreat. "

"The United States secret of success is not on Wall Street, nor the Silicon Valley, but in the enduring rule of law and the system behind the law." LIU Ya-zhou expressed that only the system can be trusted. LIU Ya-zhou said, China does not lack the truth, but lack tolerance of expressing the truth, "if there is no democracy, there is no sustained growth. Spread of democratic ideas are not constrained by national borders, are not subject to historical limitations."

LIU Ya-zhou, 57, as one of the Chinese military's senior officer, and a member of the Central Discipline Inspection Commission, which openly expressed such ideas has caused concern by the public. Qin Shi Huangdi China's first historical emperor is supposed to have started his reign by burning all the ancient Chinese texts and their knowledge that chronicled Chinese history before his time.Emperor Mao capped his reign with the cultural revolution which again was grounded to Mao's vision of China completely bereft of its past. This unique almost psychopathic streak one witnesses in China's political history, separated by over 2000 years, raises serious doubts that any transition in China's national political discourse can ever be peaceful and self destructive.China has never displayed or developed a tolerance for multiple dialogues within its society and unless hat happens, which seems unlikely,China's transition towards any new form of system of national governance is doomed to be failure..............This probably more than anything else i why we should support any call for such a transition

First, the development of Western countries was based on horrifying pillage and plunder over a long time. According to data provided by Western scholars, for 500 years, 30 million Native Americans suffered genocide and 50 million black slaves were sold to the Americas as a free labor force.

China has a history of keeping slaves.

Booi Aha (包衣阿哈) meaning "household person" refers to a hereditarily servile people in the 17th century China. It is often directly translated as the "bondservant", although sometimes also rendered as "Nucai" or "slave".

Booi had become part of the Qing dynasty political hierarchy, with the emperor being the Master, and emperor's booi would be working for the Master and the imperial court simultaneously. When addressing the emperor, booi would refer to themselves as Nupu or Nucai (Chinese:奴僕, or Chinese:奴才). But when booi were addressing others, even though they were Nucai of the emperor (Chinese:皇帝的奴才), they would refer to themselves as Superior officials of the Han Chinese (Chinese 汉人的长官).

However, what was more abhorring is the concept of conquering people of lands South of Yangtse and converting them into Hans. It is worse than slavery. It was a form of genocide. To imagine that a people are forcibly made to lose their identity, language and culture and forced to adopt a new identity and culture (Han) and forced to learn and converse in an alien language (Chinese; that includes the varieties of the language)!

Modern Slavery in China: Status of Chinese Worker

eijing (The Guardian)- More than 450 slave workers – many of them maimed, burned and mentally scarred – have been rescued from Chinese brick factories in an investigation into illegal labour camps, it emerged yesterday.

The victims, including children as young as 14, were reportedly abducted or tricked into labouring at the kilns, where they toiled for 16 to 20 hours a day for no pay and barely enough food to live.

According to the state media, they were beaten by guards and kept from escaping by dogs. At least 13 died from overwork and abuse, including a labourer who was allegedly battered to death with a shovel.

Such cruelty appears to have been commonplace and, until this week, ignored by local governments intent on boosting economic growth at any cost........
Chinese Slaves

Thus slavery is nothing new to China and in fact it is prevalent even now in this ingenuous manner.

If one recollects, the Chinese always drumbeat that whatever be the case, Tibetan or Uighurs are having a better life since they are getting money! I have always said that money is not everything.

Here is an example where for the sake of money, the Chinese govt authorities are ready to overlook gross inhumanity so that they can churn money.

And we talk of the African nations and their Blood Diamonds! This is equally bad, if not more!

^^And China has many friends among its neighbours? Pakistan is your only friend, and only because both China and Pak are too pussy to confront India on their own. They need each other's help against India.
They have made good friend to Sri-Lanka Where as new process of friendship in Nepal and Bangladesh.......they too want support of China now.

These friendships don't seem to be going anywhere. These countries have converted themselves into battlegrounds, and they will suffer the most due to Indo-China tango in their territory.

I don't think India can stand against China at the time of war...........Nepal will remain silent and wait for the ultimate result.

India will most likely be in an alliance so this should be factored into the equation as far as Nepal goes it makes not difference what Nepal does.

Nepal doesn't have to wait and watch, Madhesh will soon revolt and declare itself as part of Indian union. Northern Nepal can embrace China and become a part of Tibet. We won't loose sleep over it, we are ready to share the spoils with our neighbor.

Barking dogs seldom bite! Funny analogy. China's foreign policies are skewered, it's like the rust gathered on your umbrella. While China is waiting for the weight to increase(so that the rod fetches more money) they stand exposed in the rain. Warning neighbors will push them even closer. Maybe even force them to forge secret military alliances. While China is trying to emulate the Japs of the 40s, it's narcissist complex have made their policy makers ignorant of what happened to the Japs.

Badguy - You bring in China's economy at every thread and how countries around China would be affected if China stops trade with them. Do you understand what will happen if US closes down trade with China? US can and will also force EU to close trade with China. And many more countries would follow suit. It would take just one pissing contest for the US to create another China in faraway Africa, surely labor is cheaper there than in China. Remember, US did not fire a single shot and U.S.S.R dissolved into Russia.

Look around Nepal. Chaos rules supreme. Terrorists are a part of the Nepal government today. I would not like to disturb your brief sojourn in here, but what you do not understand is that Nepal today is in the process of becoming China's 6th Autonomous Region.

I don't think India can stand against China at the time of war...........Nepal will remain silent and wait for the ultimate result.
What makes you think so comrade? Politburo himself whispered that to you? :D
