Russia, China to Jointly Build Mi-2A Helicopters

Russian helicopter maker Rostvertol and Chinese Xi'Ao Aeroplane Manufacturing will build a plant in northern China capable of manufacturing 100 lightweight civil Mi-2A helicopters annually, Xinhua said on Monday.

The first phase of the plant, located on 47 hectares in Hebei Province, will be completed by the end of July, Xinhua said citing local officials.

The investment for the first phase is estimated at $224 million.

The plant will also serve as a repair hub for Russia's Mi-series choppers in the Asia region.

that' not for military, and china have many requirment for those cheap staff but qulity is ok, please share me how Indian,France Helicopter are waaay better and safer than it. tell me if China can do more bussiness in india if chinese and Indian Jointly Build indian version helicopter and guarantee not copy it.

France makes Eurocopter: safest, economical and best selling helicopters in the world... Mi-2 is so old it makes my aunty look young. India isn't stupid enough to waste its time with such outdated junk. India would never send its Mil helos for repair in China.

France sells planes to China every day, they are called Airbus. France sells helicopters to China, they are called Dauphin.
