I mean to say Chinese spokeswoman didn't claim "any attack on Pakistan will be considered an attack on China", those can't be her exact words. But we will support Pakistan during its hard time.

What kind of support? Declare a war on a country that attacks Pak?

Let's just wait for confirmation for a more reliable source before jumping to conclusions. I don't think the Chinese would say something that stupid. But if they did, then this message is clearly aimed at India and not US, afterall Pakistan itself is accepting the violation of its sovereignty in return for US $$$$$. If such a statement has been made, then it would clearly show China is as much a threat to Indian security as Pakistan is.

During the Korean war, China told America to stop advancing into North Korean territory. They refused, so China attacked, and pushed US forces all the way out of North Korea.

Losing the buffer zone of North Korea was enough of a threat, so the Chinese government thought it was worth it, to fight directly against the USA superpower.

Whether or not the same argument can be made regarding the hypothetical scenario where India starts striking targets within Pakistan, remains to be seen.
