You need to read through the thread to understand the point i am making.

The deterrence against the dragon and its hegemonic cliaims and attitude lies not in the new missile.
The chinese arsenal is based on deterrence. Deterrence is not war fighting.

Maybe you dont, but i do recall wars among nuclear armed nations. So much for your deterrence against hegemonic claims and attitude, what ever that means.

Yeah that's why you put all those DF21s in Tibet pointing at India.

I know what china did during cold war and what it still does. Still the missiles have been based with only one target.

you are saying they are doing empty runs.............

Of course they are. Dont tell me you dont know that?
Everyone paying the slighteste attention to chinese nuclear doctrines knows that.
Another shock for you.
To have the capacity and actually use that capacity is two different thing.

Ignorance is a bliss.

Just come across this one:
The bastard who wrote this must be paid five zero cents. Here is the link India's missile fails to rattle China | World news | guardian.co.uk
do you know who the bas..tds (a word you initiated to use ) on this forum really are ? ( mirrror , mirror on the wall ? )

the only legitimate reaction from prc-dragon to this latest agniV test should be ZERO ( just as was the reaction of the uk, italy ,france , germany ) .- the various electronic news didnt even carry the story

what india achieved was DELIBERATELY delayed not just months but indeed years untill the relationship with the usa was at the right level ...... india delayed all this while the NSG ( nuke suppliers group ) negotiations were going on and we know that took literally years .

prc-dragon had done this years ago - so inst it a wee bit hypocritical

besides the usa state department ( the only nation that reacted to the test ) re-iterated their stand that india is a responsible non-proliferator of high tech defence technology ..... and i'd thank them for that balanced view

prc-dragon is talking far too long to realise that india's inclusion in the NSG besides other factors has given us a de-facto nuke-nation and space nation status the dragons continual complaints are by now beginning to sound like a cry-baby stuck record

last word . please read what CIA chief Leon Pannatta has said about prc-dragons assistance to N Koreas missile program - now you can see who the bstrds really are ?

Agni-V launched under NATO pressure: China continues rant

Continuing its tirade against the successful launch of Agni-V, Chinese state media accused New Delhi of buckling under NATO pressure to cut down the missile's range from 9000 km to 5000 km.

The state-run Global Times which derided the missile even before it was launched saying

China gives guarded reaction to India's Agni-V test
India downplayed Agni-V's capacity: Chinese experts
that Chinese nuclear power is "stronger and more reliable and India had no chance" to catch up said on Sunday in yet another scathing write-up that "India has little to celebrate" as China has raced ahead and outclassed India in development.
"The Manmohan Singh government, because of pressure from NATO member countries, has kept a slow pace with their Integrated Guided Missile Programme (IGMP).

"The Agni-V is deemed to be in its final stage, whereas in fact the IGMP ought to have progressed to develop a range of 9,000 km," it said in the write-up posted on its web edition on Sunday night.

Commenting on Sino-India relations, the paper pointed to an international effort to portray India and China as enemies and said the two countries need to make bridges of friendship that would fail such an effort.

"Althought there is an international effort to paint India and China as enemies and to make the two countries go to war with each other, such an effort will fail.

"The Chinese and Indian people share a long history and culture, and what is needed is more discussion between the two about their economics, education, tourism and culture. We must create so many bridges of friendship that the plans of other countries to make China and India into enemies will fail," it said.

The paper said India and China can together make the Asian continent strong but if divided "all of Asia will remain weak".

The paper said the celebrations over the missile "conceal the inadequacies and slow pace" of the programme, and "hide the fact that successive Indian governments have capitulated to pressure from NATO to restrict the range and power of their launch vehicles", it said.

It said India was embarrassingly behind China in its space programme and also faced a huge vulnerability as over 80 per cent of its critical weapons systems are imported from France, the US, Russia and Israel.

"If these countries cut off supplies or ammunition during a conflict, India would be helpless," it said.

Much as our Chini friends would want us to believe that china is really not too bothered about India, their govt mouthpiece gives a totally different picture.

Vested interests in India playing up military threat: Chinese daily

'Propaganda that India can counter China seeks to raise spending on foreign weapons systems'
Following the launch of Agni-V, India and China must guard against "vested interests" that were playing up the "China threat" and promoting an arms race between the neighbours, the Communist Party-run The Global Times newspaper said on Sunday.

In the wake of the launch of India's first intercontinental ballistic missile with the capability of reaching most cities in China, both countries "should beware of efforts to create widespread fear and tension," the paper said in an editorial on its website, due to be published on Monday.

"By playing up the 'China threat' and postulating that India can 'counter and contain China,' vested interests are hoping to ensure that more and more money is spent on foreign weapons systems rather than domestic manufacture," said The Global Times, which is known for its strong nationalistic positions but also seen to echo the views of the more hard-line sections within the party and military.

Several state-run media publications have in recent days published commentaries hitting out at the launch of Agni-V, which was widely seen here as being directed at China. The government, however, played down the launch, with the Foreign Ministry stressing that both countries were not rivals but partners.

"Although there is an international effort to paint India and China as enemies and to make the two countries go to war with each other, such an effort will fail," the newspaper said. "The Chinese and Indian people share a long history and culture, and what is needed is more discussion between the two about their economics, education, tourism and culture."

It said bad relations would "hurt both countries and aid those who seek to subjugate Asia and the world."

When India labled its ballistic missile as "China Killer", there is no way it won't catch Chinese attention.

If getting Chinese attention is the main purpose of the test, then India certainly has accomplished that. The noise is just too loud to be ignored.

But bothered by Indian ballistic missile?

Come on, Chinese acquired the ability to hit every corner of India like decades ago, were you bothered all those years?

Yes we were bothered all these years and strived all these years to make a deterrent and ways to deliver it.

Or maybe you were bothered, that is why you are speculating that Chinese will have the same feelings for your missiles.
