India has F-35 and maybe F-22 offers on the table it will arrive possibly even sooner if accepted, Chinese j20 being fifth gen is still debateable many are saying 4th gen at best and even then it won't arrive before 2025. So again China will be second no matter what they do.

Tibet is now under Chinese control firmly. All the riots did was shift more PAP to the region. India does not control the Dalai Lama, the U.S. does. Timing...then India's timing is piss poor given that the Dalai Lama no longer advocates for Tibetan independance, and urges more hawkish Tibetans to refrain. Plus he doesn't have much longer to live and does not have a clear successor.
