China spends less on defence than India does, the offcial figure is only slightly over 1% of the GDP. SIPRI estiamtes that China actually spends 2.2% of her GDP whereas India spends close to 3%.

SIPRI does not publish its findings based on chinese government data, in case you have not noticed the figure given by SIPRI is much higher than China's official figure. Still as a percentage of the GDP it is lower than India's. If you rather believe in the CIA number, it is up to you.

India in 4 years from now will have 24 IL-76's and 24 C-27's, and will adding more. All the while China has some outdated soviet An-70 made in Chinese model, like the MiG-1.44 is the J-20. And I am talking about the Strategic Airlift, Tactical India will be even better, There is a good chance that a 100 C-130's are ordered not the 30-J variant.
