True. The design of this latest UAV is unlike anything the US has fielded or under testing. It's a revolutionary wing design and favorably shows the technical skills of the Chinese. If you ask me, it only adds to the uncertainty that the Chinese is fostering accross the region. What else coulde they be hiding under their vast but tightly controlled territory? Are their game changing toys that could seriously upset the current balamnce of power? That in turn might give the Chinese generals that little bit of extra confidence just enough to hudge them to attack Taiwan...

Taiwan seems like a done deal to me. Just look at NATO and Libya and how ineffective they are. A quick 2,000 point drop in the DOW will convince the powers that be in the US to stay out of an unnecessary war with China over an insignificant island. And I say this as a US/Taiwan dual citizen.

Global hawk or UACV like predator were long projected by Chinese..

But this doesn't change anything yet..

China don't want to attack Taiwan at all..

Chinese military strategy seems to be centered around very careful study all US military engagements and see how the US uses technology and then to try to buy, borrow, steal or develop it locally as fast as possible.

When the Chinese saw how the USAF and USN, and US land based assets were all networked in Bosnia - they jumped on networking their military assests. The they jumped on stealth aircraft after seeing the F-22.
Now after hearing from the Pakistani brothers how effective US drone strikes are in Pak....they are trying to match the US in drone technology.

I guess it makes perfect sense - watch the leader and learn.

As i said before, China is practically trying to keep up with US..

As not only China study US activity, We need to see how US chose its wars..

That's not how realpolitik works. The elites on both sides just have too much to lose. The Chinese official wants to keep his 3 mistresses and the American guy wants to summer on Martha's Vineyard. Worst thing that will happen is the US will sink a Chinese carrier and they will agree beforehand to call it even. Then both sides will back off, while the clueless masses in both countries are still screaming for war.

Actually nothing stands without protection from Nuclear fall out, Nuke winter comes at very last..

And We Indian don't have to be concerns much, We live far from Pacific and Japan..

sure.....US could have wiped out parts of PRC in korean war but just they didnt (soviet union didnt have effective nukes back then and china cant even attack US bases in japan)...the US could have wiped the whole PRC in vietnam war but just they didnt (soviet union already had wars with PRC so they wouldnt back PRC up).

the US can wipe out either iran or north korea in convential way without the need of using nukes now and they just dont.........

americans just aint that dumb as some might think.........taiwan is just a minor issue for the US but a big issue for chinese.....the US will use taiwan as much as possible.....but a nuke war with PRC coz of taiwan???...trying to make russia the next sole power in the world or what????
