Yep it can claim thousand kilometer of seas from its border and still consider it to be legitimate

whos right or wrong is from perspective. if you ask vietnamess they will said US is wrong in vietnam war, but if you ask american they will said differently.

Just to sum it up for the final time before another person starts this china-on-world-conquest gossip again:

PRC (mainland) has land conflict with India only, ROC has more claims because they refuse to recognize the treaties PRC has signed with the neighbors.

Both PRC and ROC have the same claims with regard to maritime disputes, Spratly islands with 4 nations, Paracels islands with Vietnam, Diaoyutai with Japan. That's it.

India for example has border disputes with far more nations than China does, but this self-rightous thing is so deeply rooted in the indian mindset that they just could not/would not recognize this simple fact.
