There are some points-
1.Because of huge trade between India and China ,there will be huge economical loss to both the nation .
2.China knows that India can block its energy and other raw material imports so a full scale war is out of question.
There are few things we can do to counter the increase of force from China side-
1.Have a combined HQ for China border where Air force ,army and Border Security can co operate.
2.Train more solider in Guerrilla warfare.
3.Increase the transport capability of AF by adding 10 -20 C 130J in short term.
4.Increase our EW capability and our Intelligence.

The recent articles in international media citing US establishments reports says a lot about chinese troop accumulation near Indian borders.we can expect to see such ground breaking reports from and around china in the coming days.
------------
2 Days ago:
China has deployed more troops near Indian border: Pentagon
China has increased defence capabilities and deployed more troops along the Indian border, the Pentagon has said, as it warned of increasing Chinese military presence including bases in various parts of the world, particularly Pakistan.

---------------
Well... the US machinery has already started churning against the chinese arrogance and double standards of using La Whore (lahore a.k.a pak)against USA by china in the middle east and other meddled diplomatic affairs.

More than the Indian Ocean or concern with India I think the US finds pakistan highly distracted from the US diplomatic alignment in the middle east.US will try and get even.

India should make the most of such situation to leverage on the confusion to generate an outcome with China.

US must respect Sino-India efforts to resolve border dispute, says Chinese official
Beijing: Asking the US to respect the efforts by China and India to resolve their boundary dispute peacefully, a top Chinese official said on Monday that the two nations are wise enough to deal with it after the Pentagon accused Beijing of deploying more troops along the Sino-India borders.

China has elevated the authority of its Tibet Military Command as part of preparations for a possible conflict with India, state media reported on Friday, adding the formation will now be directly under the People’s Liberation Army (PLA).

Placing the Tibet command directly under the PLA ground forces indicates the Chinese government could be readying it to “undertake some kind of military combat mission in the future”, a source told the Global Times, a tabloid closely linked to the Communist Party of China‘s mouthpiece, the People’s Daily.

“The Tibet Military Command bears great responsibility to prepare for possible conflicts between China and India, and currently it is difficult to secure all the military resources they need,” Song Zhongping, a Beijing-based military expert, told the newspaper.

The Global Times noted that border disputes between China and India “have not been completely resolved”.

The formation in Tibet is currently under China's Western Theatre Command, with its headquarters at Chengdu in Sichuan Province. Defence minister Manohar Parrikar visited the Western Theatre Command when he visited China last month.

The source said the importance of most provincial military commands will be diminished after a change in China’s military structure but the Tibet Military Command still holds a “very important position”. Its elevation will place it “one level higher” than its counterparts in other provinces.

“The elevation of the authority level is not only an improvement for the troops' designation, but also an expansion of their function and mission,” Zhao Zhong, deputy director of the Political Work Department of the Tibet Military Command, was quoted as saying by China Youth Daily.

“The promotion shows China is paying great attention to the Tibet Military Command, which will significantly improve the command’s ability to manage and control the region’s military resources, as well as provide better preparation for combat,” Song said.

Military action under the Tibet command requires “specialist mountain skills and long-range capabilities, which need the deployment of special military resources”, Song added.

The elevation of the command reflects the attention placed by China on defending its southwestern borders. The higher the authority level, the more military resources the command can mobilise, he said.

After recent military reforms, most provincial military commands are under the control of the newly established National Defence Mobilisation Department of the Central Military Commission under the chairmanship of President Xi Jinping.

India and China share a nearly 4,000-km disputed border and fought a brief but bloody war in 1962 over it. The Line of Actual Control (LAC) has mostly been quiet since, though the two armies have been involved in stand-offs caused by differing perceptions of the LAC.

In April, defence minister Chang Wanquan said China had reacted positively to setting up a military hotline with India on border security after talks with Parrikar in Beijing.

We shall f**k them in Himalaya provided we have a strong government in the center.

During the Sino-Indian War of 1962, the political leadership did not use the combat air arm of the IAF. General Kaul the Army Commander responsible in NEFA, later confessed, ......air power would have turned the tables on Chinese and the 1962 war could well have been a debacle for China.
Firstly, sending a plane to take picture is lot simpler than keeping your boomers raining steel on your enemy days and nights, I doubt Indian air force was ready for this kind of job. There was example in that war, Indian air force tried to supply the ground troops, but 80% was dropped into Chinese control area;
Secondly, Chinese troops were fully experienced in fighting the battle without Air cover in Korean War. The US air force which was far more superior and experienced than Indian on this kind of job, failed to decide any battle alone if their group troops were loosing. So, yes, Indian air force may impose some damage to Chinese, but turning the table alone is quite optimistic;
Thirdly, before the war, Chinese intelligence did analysis about this. Their conclusion was: Indian air force was not capable of consistent ground striking. They didn't worry about Indian boomers at all. So, Chinese troops didn't carry much air-defence weapon.

You missed out the context of the role of air-power in his post, I hope its not the same for your Chinese intelligence, Now days they rely to much on internet forums, Not really a place to get ideas ..

I should point out this: Change in Government has shown change in Army behavior including enemies too ..

Sep 22, 2013 : Aggressive Chinese attitude, Kicking wall and snatching service rifles.

Aug 24, 2015 : Chinese political official of PLA in very soft tone, reasoning with his Indian counterparts.

==========================

Unlike before, This time Indian Army has a SF unit ready to strike if things went south, Nothing of this was allowed during former Government rule, Any right conduct by field commander could make his transfer to somewhere else, Same was their in CT ops areas ..

there is no conflict..uneducated chinese (mean Weak in English)just do little troll in borders..and Run away back..
High ranking general placed there might be something different this time?Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

What is the truth about recent reports that Indian Army building of infrastructure along the LAC in Arunachal Pradesh, lest Chinese capture thus road infrastructure and use it against India for deeper intrusion / Penetration into India?

Presstitutes paid by China are always active in India and they may be writing like that. On the other hand is there any truth that in spite of huge preparations in the last fifty years with 8 mountain divisions and one strike crop of 70,000 troops equipped with m777 artillery guns cannot blow them to pieces.

My view is that geography of LAC does not favour the invading force. The mountain line at 20,000 feet and valleys dropping to 9,000 feet is hell of a difficult job for any invading force to proceed. The forgoing continues for 200km, another formidable problem for the invaders. The one time bumbling general's of Indian Army in 1962 gave away the fort when they forgot to watch the trails and very quickly vacated the SeLa fortress and let the Chinese come without much of a fight and allowed thousands of tons of supplies to fall into enemy hands. That is not going to happen again, never agains. India is way too smart for that to happen. Rather good chance of invading Chinese cut off from supplies and deep in the valleys actually surrender.

But I need some more smart people in this forum to comment on this press reports that it is Indian Army preventing infrastructure build up close to LAC, lest it falls into Chinese hands during hostilities.

What is your opinion guys, Does the geography or their meagre troop strength of 14 much smaller divisions in Tibet allow them to stage a repeat of 1962 performance? They need 5 to 1 ratio of troops to make a dent into any defences. They do not have that strength at all.
