the ownership of islands is not based on EEZ.Instead, EEZ is based on the ownership of islands.
that is mean, Philippins can not claim Scarborough Shoal, just because it is less 200 miles away from its maind islands.,while Scarborough Shoal is still a disputed area.

BTW, Phillpins didn't claim Scarborough Shoal until 1990s.while CHina has been claiming it since 1940s....
Scarborough is a shoal.. not an island! If its not an island hoe can china claim it?

so its final, WWIII will start over issue of sovereignty of some remote islands
No!Rather issue of sovereignty of these remote islands is the last straw that broke the camels back.PRC is a fascist state that has become arrogant, intransigent, belligerent, uncompromising etc etc.Trade with US,Japan and EU contributed to PRC's rise as an economic power. Now this new found power is being directed against Japan and other countries in PRC's neighbourhood.Japan is a test case.If Japan backs off then others would be a push over.PRC will then have its way.Indian leaders especially Congress talk big and do really nothing to stop China. Now we have a golden oppurtunity .China has opened too many hostile fronts. We should now join Japan and a coalition of nations to stop China.Tibet and East Turkestan should be declared disputed territories under illegal military occupation.PRC has asked for it and should get a fitting reply.Nobody likes war.We all loose when nations go to war.But then there are times when there is no choice.
