India has got legitimate interest in S.L. just like Russia has it's interest in Crimea!Accept it or not but India is the sole power in the Southern Asia and if we think that S.L. is acting against our national interest we won't hesitate twice before launching a full fledged invasion of Lanka. Our sole concern in S.L. are the Tamil diaspora living there and due to the proximity of S.L. with the state of T.N.,we can't ignore any kind of budding threat rising from Lanka.
As long as the Lankans don't start showing hostile behavior to India,it doesn't have anything to fear about but the moment it decides to share it's bed with our adversaries we'll have no other option other than to break up Lanka into small pieces...
Agree, unless indian interest is impacted we have no reason to get involved and if our interests are getting impacted, we will find reason to get involved.

Well are we inviting them to Sri Lanka or they come with there own will?

You seems to be in a terrible shock to absorb the reality.

Let the lazy people do there lazy stuff.

Water finds it flow.

Where there are jobs, the people will go.

Your Minister is welcoming them!

I am in no shock. Thank you for the concern!

Love your post, with the exception of the slightly aggressive posturing.

Akhand Bharat is only solution of Subcontinent.:truestory: Religious conversion started the problem, religious conversion will end. Pakistan and Bangladesh should convert to Hinduism and Buddhism.

Regarding the opening post, I would say that instead of indulging in such trifles, India needs to concentrate on urgent matters that concern the well-being of its people. Rather than dreaming of breaking up other nations, we should first make our land worth-living.

Such puerile approach helps no one. Develop what you have first & enjoy the immense blessings we have in our own land rather than eyeing something belongs to someone else.

LTTE was a stupid move. IPKF was the epitome of stupidity. This line of thinking needs to nipped in bud.

When it comes to foreign policy, "carrot & stick" (or, "Iron hand in a velvet glove") works best.

There is no substitute for constructive diplomacy (economic incentives with win-win propositions), backed visibly by gunboat diplomacy.

Wellbeing of our people should be our focus. Rest is secondary.
