Its a shocking news for me. I am not sure how to express myself. There are people who you may never meet but develop a great respect for him/her. Ray Sir was one such individual. It will be a great loss for this forum.

My deepest condolence to Ray Sir's family. Will miss him a lot.

May his Soul Rest in Peace !

His words drew lot of strengths & energy among us. To an ordinary person like me, he inspired, what it takes to be a true soldier of India.

DFI will always remember him. And those too, who ever dared to challenge India, they faced him on Battlefield and on DFI.

And those who will ever dare in future, shall bear in mind, Mother India will always have sons & soldiers like him, who are ready to lay their bodies to protect our motherland !

I salute to him !

I remember one of the DFI poster requesting him to have look at a British forum, full of rabid India haters. At this age he took it as a call of duty; went there, and brought sense to many of their discussions; which otherwise were one sided.

Jai Hind.
A few members from that forum became good friends with Ray and joined our forum.

he was an extraordinary person, always honest and always unbowed. Such people are a rarity.

A shocking loss to DFI community. Ray sir has been a leading poster who guided and supported the forum through thick & thin. He took on other members on many issues (be it military or social) with factual arguments & anecdotes but was always dignified in his responses. Losing him is like losing the head of the DFI family.

His loss will be felt by everyone who knows him personally or otherwise for he is a gentleman who you want to follow & learn from.

My heartfelt condolences to Mrs Ray & family. May he find peace in the after life.

Miss you Ray sir.
