BSF to get hi-tech equipment

"The Force (BSF) is under the process of procuring hi-tech equipment to enhance supervision and reaction capability of its troops," a BSF spokesperson said here, a day after the two-day force level commander conference, which concluded yesterday.

He said a large number of vehicles of various categories were also being introduced keeping in view the terrain of the International borders.

Chaired by Director General of BSF D K Pathak, the conference was attended by all five ADGs, 19 IGs and Director, Pay and Accounts department of the BSF.

Among other issues discussed in the conference was the Land Boundary Agreement and the problems related to exchange of Adverse Possession of Lands and Enclaves with Bangladesh, the BSF spokesperson said.

The other issues were cross border smuggling prevalent all along both the Eastern and Western borders and strategies on how to curb anti-national activities, he said.

The BSF DG later met Meghalaya Governor V Shanmuganathan and Chief Secretary P B O Warjri where he urged the state government to provide power for floodlights along the border, the spokesman added.

Centre to construct 240 concrete bunkers along Jammu international border

Union Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA) has given nod to the proposal for construction of multi utility 240 concrete bunkers for the people living within the firing range of Pakistan to protect them during sudden heavy mortar shelling and firing by the Pakistani troopers.

The purpose being what? They could use that ad space for promoting things like IFR, army recruitment or simply paying bribes and acquiring assets inside local newspaper publishing bodies to win the narrative war. Photos of dead bodies achieves nothing. Neither does it draw recruits to our side, nor does it dissuade jihadis. On the contrary they use it as a propaganda tool against AFSPA. If we publish too many photos of dead bodies, the time isn't far with some liberal will start getting some colorful ideas to ensure that the dead are 'buried with dignity as per their religious customs' under the garb of human rights.

No need to advertise everything, it might go against us.

Day before yesterday i saw a documentary on BSF. Officials say Indo-Bangla border is not that much safe.
there are few blank point where infiltration(Pole-vaulting ...:D) is done during night time.Even bangla boder force never seem to bother to stop if they see any of their people crossing zero line. Till now i thought shooting at bangladesh border is not a good sign...Now i say bang those bastards who try to come near fence. they commit mistake and when got shot moan like a whore.
GOI should seal that damn border so that no more illegal immigrants.

A super exclusive coverage of Indo-Tibetan Border Police Force whose existence was kept secret for well over 20 years when it was raised in 1962. Cameras for the first time at Indo-China Border inside Mana Pass Valley, known as the Valley of GODS. This episode contains rare footage of many secret weapons that were issued to ITBP when it was a guerrilla force guarding our northern frontiers. Also first glimpse of ITBP’s women soldiers the famous “Jhansi ki Rani Battalion”.

This exclusive show contains rare footage of hitherto unseen parts of Thar Desert in Rajasthan, including areas of shifting sand dunes along India-Pakistan border & traces of Mysterious Saraswati River that many believe still flow few feet below the burning desert.
