if you read the full book some very important points you get

1> heavy armour deployment was a major issue for russia you can see why russia wants the minstral class desperately.The kinikob or saratov were doing a good job still heavy armour was a big issue.

2> Atleast 3 SU25 were lost in friendly fire while giving air support shows some lack of co-ordination between the wings

3> dismissing all rumours turkey and nato showed that war must be fought by own blood and not via shared, although turkey did deliver the armoured carriers that they had negotiated

4>georgia now wants to send 900 trops to afgan if 1000 iraq troops were not enough still the US did little for them in the post war era.
