Continuing with the evolution process of Bombers after a long gap.....................

The Cold War

After the 2nd World War over , the structural changes and the changes for the weapons and roles of them changed drastically, as such invention of anti-Sub Missile and Anti - Ship Missile made the Torpedo Bomber totally extinct and made them only available in Aero Museum of the respective countries, the capacity of the Fighter Aircraft extended and carrying capacity of massive amounts of Bombs made extinct light and medium bombers. Heavy Bomber's role extended and used as strategic bombers, and number of bombers reduced effectively, the Axis power countries which had suffered defeats , stopped producing Bombers and Fighter Aircrafts on their own research and in that scale they produced during WW-II , Germany divided, Japan changed her constitution and mostly became dependent on the USA for her arms. New nations born , British India divided and India and Pakistan gained Independence, The Honeymoon of the war period allies suddenly became nightmare within 5 years after 2nd World War , the 1950 Korean Peninsula crisis that gave birth one of the biggest conflicts after the 2nd World war and put the world in the brink of another world war , that is 1953 Korean War. Two blocks clearly emerged A. The Block led by The USA and supported by its allied countries ,(The UK, Australia, Japan, Thailand , Pakistan etc.) and B. The Soviet Block led by The USSR and supported by its allied countries ( The PRC, The North Korea, North Vietnam , Cuba , Czechoslovakia and other communist countries) besides them another group of nations those who were not aligned in any of the two blocks , regarded as NAM (Non Aligned Movement ) countries led by India, Yugoslavia etc. The sudden development of Arms Building race between mainly The USA and The USSR and threat of yet another war that loomed around the Horizon started the era of Cold War. However, the bombing raid were done mainly by Fighter Bombers and Ground Attack Air crafts those were made versatile in their roles and stress were given on them to improve capabilities and make the bombers needed only in Strategic Bombing , the stealth , Supersonic Bomber developed , to make them compete in ever changing scenarios Not only the former axis powers stopped the the production of Fighter Aircrafts and Bombers but the many allied countries reduced the production of them to a limited numbers. Apart from the Bombs they were made capable for carrying Nuclear Bombs and Missiles. The Soviet and the US aircrafts dominated the sky by not only manned by them but also by their allied countries even NAM countries used to source their military hardwares from this two countries. The bombers saw action in Korean War , Vietnam War. The Bombers were mainly propeller driven and turbojet powered . Some Bombers survived 2nd World War, and pressed in major conflicts immediately after 2nd World War. Some of the bombers in this era are :

However two of the most important :
