Here's a murder that happened a couple of days back.
36 yr old Joshua Chellew (white) beaten by four teens and thrown into traffic to be run over and killed. Now I'm not saying this is racially motivated, though there is much greater chance of this being racially motivated than the trayvor martin case. Why ? Because all four attackers were black and members of a gang.

Do notice how the media says "he happened to be at the wrong place at the wrong time" and "four teens" (suddenly the media became color blind)

Why are there no protests, I wonder

There is no protest because the victim is white and the accused black.

Would President Obama be gracious enough to speculate which one his son would look like, if he had one?

Blacks in USA have better access to many things that even the middle class do not have
2 good example:

Blacks I refer to are poor blacks and not all blacks to point out the opportunities available to better themselves.

1)healthcare many blacks are on government plans that cover almost 100 percent of bill
They have better coverage and have better drug coverage and lower copayments to nocopayments
While middle class will in the future thanks to Obamacare will pay more for healthcare have
Lower quality care and will wait longer for the care and also finance blacks free healthcare
Thru higher taxes.

2) Education blacks if they want can get all their education paid for even at college levels thru government
Plans and programs it may not be top universities but they can still get high paying degrees if they
Choose often black females are smarter and more educated when they realize this advantage but
Males seem to ignore it. Most middle class take loans for their kids or delay college

There are many other things like free housing,food stamps, free baby care, daycare etc
The list is long but under Obama poor blacks have it better than the middle class or working
Class in USA.

It was dumb because he implied that he empathizes with those who have the same skin color as him. i.e., he might not sympathize with a white kid who was killed because his son wouldnt look like him. that's the logic of his statement and that's why it was a really stupid comment.

He was asked BY the 911 dispatcher where the boy was and where he was going. He was also asked for a description. He was also already out of the car when the dispatcher said they didn't need him to follow and at that time Trayvon had already been out of his sight for a full four minutes, which he could've used to get safely to his home. He didn't. Instead Trayvon decided to come back and confront Zimmermann with his fists. Getting out of a car isn't illegal. Following and individual isn't illegal. Assaulting someone is. Trayvon CHOSE to make this a physical altercation as proven by the abrasions on his knuckles proving it was he doing the punching and not Zimmerman. I suppose Zimmerman was required to just continue to allow himself to be beaten until he was dead. Then all the blacks would be happy, no?

Agree that Obama should not have dipped his finger on the issue when the Court has yet to make a ruling. However, regardless of political pressure, what brought down that not-so-slum-dunk case was bad prosecution.

Protests in Los Angeles

Earlier Monday, several protesters made their way into a Wal-Mart on Crenshaw Boulevard as guards scrambled to close security gates. A short time later, Los Angeles Police Department officers wearing helmets and carrying batons swarmed the store as others marched through the parking lot.

The LAPD declared a tactical alert about 9 p.m., which means that off-duty officers could be held on duty when their shifts end and may respond only to high-priority calls.

"We want to support everyone's 1st Amendment right to protest, but we also want to ensure public safety and not allow people to commit violent acts," Cmdr. Andy Smith told The Times.

Zimmerman, 29, a neighborhood watch volunteer, was acquitted Saturday in Florida of second-degree murder and manslaughter in the 2012 shooting death of Trayvon Martin, 17.

The verdict has sparked protests across the country and led to arrests and protests.
