WASHINGTON, March 16 (Xinhua) -- Terror mastermind Osama bin Laden ordered his al-Qaeda network to organize special cells in Afghanistan and Pakistan to attack the aircraft of U.S. President Barack Obama and Gen. David Petraeus, who commanded the U.S. forces in Afghanistan at the time, U.S. reports said Friday.

The Washington Post quoted administration officials as saying the plot was discovered in documents taken from bin Laden's compound by U.S. forces on May 2, the night he was killed. They also said the plot was never a serious threat.

The man bin Laden picked to carry out the attacks was Pakistani terrorist Ilyas Kashmiri. A month after bin Laden's death, Kashmiri was killed in a U.S. drone attack.

However, the Post said the plot "was probably bluster," since al-Qaeda apparently lacked the weapons to shoot down U.S. aircraft, and U.S. analysts don't see evidence that these plots have materialized.

That is such a sad story overall how the terrorism is becoming a threat due to this person. I wish there was an end to all this and the true culprits come forward in front of the whole world.
