Beijing subway rush hour video goes viral

If you complain about having to commute during the rush hour on London's Underground, spare a thought for these poor souls in Beijing.

This is Beijing's Subway Line 13 in rush hour on a Thursday morning. Those with Claustrophobia look away now.
The video, filmed on July 18, shows thousands of commuters packed like sardines on the platform waiting for the train.
When it arrives, those coming off the train have to almost stage battle with those wanting to get on.
Pushing and shoving doesn't quite cover it. One man can be seen being physically pulled off the train by another commuter.

I agree, traveling in Japan always makes me feel like a sardine. There are less people on everyday Chinese public transportation. Guangzhou bus route was the best I had ever seen, clean and very few people using it.

hardly, it's more like the pain of living in a big populated city.

I feel that all this crowding is not a negative image of a country, but the fact that the citizens of that country finds such travel easier, quicker and efficient.

I just hope it becomes as efficient as in these countries.

It is a negative fact not a negative image.
This video can shut those who claim China is overspending on infrastructure up.
Obviously, China still gets a long way to catch up in infrastructure building.
