ISLAMABAD: The concluding ceremony of war games named "Azm-e-Nau 4"³ took place on Sunday.
According to the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), the war games were meant to operationalise new strategies against the evolving threat.
At the culmination of four years of war gaming and exercises, the Pakistan military has now adopted a 'new concept of war fighting' aimed at preempting India's 'Cold Start Doctrine,' security officials said here.

The new concept seeks to improve troops' mobilisation time and to put up a joint Army, Navy and Air Force response to any conventional threat.
The Azm-e-Nau exercises, which started in 2009, were part of the Army's new concept of war fighting in response to India's Pakistan specific Cold Start Doctrine.

The Cold Start doctrine is intended to allow India's conventional forces to perform holding swift and unexpected attacks in a manner before international pressure could come to bear on India and before the Pakistani military could react i.e. in under 72 hours.
The Indian military, however, publicly denies the existence of any such doctrine.

The military official said under the new concept, in case of war, the Pakistan Army could mobilise in far less time as compared to India.
Speaking at the conclusion of two-week long war games, Army Chief General Ashfaq Parvez Kayani sought people's support to counter foreign military aggression against the country.

Kayani said military's success hinges on being fully prepared, support of the people of Pakistan and other state institutions.
He also said the Army was fully committed to meet all future challenges squarely.

you pakis can not match India in conventional war. either 24 hours or 72 hours . in case of nukes, Pakistan will be 50000000000000000000 old history again.

These type of war games is wastage of begging money received in the name of economic development and islam

Why a new thread for this?

We are already discussing it under
http://defenceforumindia.com/forum/...old-start-military-adopt-new-war-concept.html

Oh, sorry, I forgot that we are talking about Pakistan, where culmination of a scheduled war game in its 4th edition is a great piece of news and comes as a surprise to the army themselves as none expects them to be ending in a predesignated fashion and validating the concepts.

Damn to hell,

With US eqpt and training , Pakis look good in above You Tube Video (A-e-N 3).

They being closer to border, can deploy quickly.

I like the War Room shot in the beginning, the place where plans are made by the top commanders.

(Even Ordinary Indians have long experience with top Paki Commanders, many of whom have risen not only to head the army, but the great nation as well, all well rounded cheerful types like Yahya, Ayub, Musa, Zia, Kayani, and our personal favorite, Pervez the Great, Chief Guest at India Today Conclave 2011 and currently a guest of the Government of Pakistan.)

Good force multipliers like modern Anti-Tank Missiles, US supplied of course.

Cobra Gun ships look good, same armament as Apache copters used.

Their Para Commandos, they call SSG - Special Services Group, are trained by US Green Berets, and hold regular exercises. Boys look keen and ready.

Also, good artillery locating radar (I think AN-36, supplied by Friendly Neighborhood Cop USA) is available.

Co-ordination with their Air Force F-16s look good, maybe result of US Combined Arms Training. (It seems like that to me, that planes are called in by Commander during middle of exercise, and are flying one behind other, as if on a bombing wave against Enemy massed Armour - that's' us).

They seem to me as tight, flexible force, with good training and weapons.Their top commanders willing and ready.

Don't underestimate them, just because of superior numbers, or size.

Careful brothers, careful.

Also, in A-e-N 3 exercises shown in You Tube, (one of follow-on videos to the one above) mention is made of the total no. of troops.

It is mentioned that 10,000 to 20,000 troops are taking part, and eventually upto 50,000 troops will take part.

I find this very disturbing.

Indian exercises typically field upto 3,00,000 troops, and the Paki war planners know this.

Why are they not matching the Indian attack numbers? At least 1,00,000 could have been taken, factoring the smaller economy of Pakistan, but here is at best only half that number.

Indians will have about 6 times the superiority.

Do they have some ace up their sleeve, to effectively deter the Indians?

Are their Force multipliers so good, against Indian Armour and ground attack aviation, that they can field fewer numbers?

Or.......they have only limited conventional response, and, instead, will quickly go nuclear in event of a conflict?

Gurus, and esp. Pakistani experts, our views are much sought after!!
