I have played ArmA 2.

It is very refreshing from the past games, most of which, almost definitely, had either the Germans or the Soviets as the evil guys.

try it only if you have enough patience.ie in the game if u have to move towards a destination 100 mts across then it will take the exact time that will take in the real life.Its nothing like call of duty or MD3 which are meant for fun.ARMA is a tactical simulator game which may bore you.

I have played ArmA 2, and it is quite a good game. However, I didn't play it for too long as it wasn't totally compatible with my system, as it was designed to run on dual core, and mines was quad core. Just to run it, I had to go into the bios every time and play around with my processor settings to make them act as if dual cores. So, ArmA 2 was good, but unfortunately couldn't play too much. I'm looking forward to ArmA 3 however, it looks awesome, and will likely be more compatible (hopefully) with my system.

You have a quad core you say? Perhaps you will have a better experience with ArmA 3 than with ArmA 2. Just give it a shot.

Operation Flashpoint, ArmA 2, ArmA 3, all of them are in the same league. These are not CoD style rat-a-tat-a-tat shoot and scoot type of games.

INSAS rifles were in the mod in ArmA 2, and I had to install them separately.

I have seen some videos.... seems to be a simulator and quite difficult.
But perhaps its only me who thinks like this here, cause I ve been spoiled by Call of Duty
