The Owassi family is living in a fools paradise and if he continues this way and the Govt finds itself scared then there will be real problems.

When Varun Gandhi and others spout hate speech, India is revolted and immediately there is an outcry and people jailed.

But when the Imam of Jama Mazjid and Owassis go ballistic then all fight shy.

As an Indian and without any religious prejudice, I would like it to be fair.

The whole problem of the divisive ,mindset in this country is all because of the votes and vote banks.

There is the feeling amongst the Muslims that all the promises to the community by the political parties were all hollow and the Muslims have been given a rough ride.

That is true.

Whether the Muslims are justified in asking for more is a moot point feels the Hindu right wing, given that they have already got their homeland by dividing Pakistan and now should be treated as equal in fruits of progress.

But the Muslims expect more since the one left behind were the illiterates and the lower working class, more so, since they want to equate themselves with the SC/ST and thus eligible for reservations. Unfortunately, the Constitution does not cater for this, while the political parties for electoral reasons defacto has given sops though not totally translated in action.

This was not contested earlier, but with the so called 'appeasement' going overboard every election and the importunity window shrinking, thanks to Mandal and the so called raja of Shankargarh and his failed political ambitions, there was an upsurge amongst the Hindus of being deprived of the slice of the pie, duly manifesting itself with the surprising demolition of the Babri Mazjid.

The BJP cashed on, on the Hindu alienation and thereafter it was a runaway situation.

Now, communal incitement has become an industry.

It is time to catch the bull by the horn and stamp this scourge at the earliest before India burns.

But then, that would be bad politics and so we must accept all this nonsense till we burn to realise our folly!

Hate speech: Cops give 3-day deadline to Akbaruddin Owaisi to get back from London

Andhra Pradesh police today issued notices to Majlis-e-Ittehadul Muslimeen (MIM) MLA Akbaruddin Owaisi to appear before it for questioning, a day after registering FIRs against him for allegedly making "hate speech" against a particular community.

As part of further probe into the two cases, the MIM legislator was directed to appear before Investigation Officers of Nirmal (Rural) police in Adilabad district on January 7 and before the Nizambad II Town police on January 8.

The FIRs were registered suo moto at Adilabad and Nizamabad districts after the legislator had allegedly used inflammatory and derogatory language against a particular community during his public speeches last month.

The notices issued under section 41(A) of CrPC were pasted outside the residence of Akbaruddin in Banjara Hills here, as he is reportedly in London for treatment and asked him to appear before police as part of further probe into the cases.

The MLA from Chandrayangutta here has been booked under IPC Sections 153A (promoting enmity between different groups on grounds of religion, race, place of birth, language etc and doing acts prejudicial to maintenance of harmony) and 295A (deliberate and malicious acts intended to outrage religious feelings of any class by insulting its religion or religious beliefs).

He has also been booked under IPC Section 121 (waging or attempting to wage war, or abetting waging of war, against the Government of India).

Prima facie there seems to be evidence against the MLA, Andhra Pradesh Director General of Police (DGP) V Dinesh Reddy had earlier said, adding the MIM leader could be arrested if he charges against him were established during the probe.

"It is learnt that he is out of the country and if he fails to appear then we will have to call him back and if necessary Interpol's assistance will be taken," the DGP had said.
