    As per the custom at the time Jesus as a Jewish man would have probably been married by the time he was 18 even though no mention is made of his marital status in traditional Christian literature.

    Which was a lot of crap, the book and the movie (with the sorry-ass Tom Hanks). :)

    it does not makes any difference to Jesus. Holiness is not derived of Celibacy. its due to deeds and abilities.

    As usual, there will be those who will find this evidence compelling, but at the same time say the Shroud of Turin is a fake. :)

    What compelling evidence is there of Jesus' celibacy ?
    Just asking.
    And if his celibacy is what makes him inspiring or respectable, then that's pathetic.

    maybe he was married , who knows ??

    but his mother wasn't.....

    according to Christopher Catherwood writing in BRIEF HISTORY OF THE MIDDLE EAST jusus was probably born as the result of extra marital sex between his mother and a roman soldier who impregnated her and then moved on without knowing what happened further .
    after all why should we believe the story of the virgin birth and all that crap ??
