Eurofighter is highly agile , but the best part of it is the Service ceiling which is 65000ft , almost 8000ft better then any other compiteter in it's class...

even eurofighter is not full spectrum stealth (VLO) ,flying at such a hight , it can panetrate realy deep inside enemy territory , ..

it will be difficult for the enemy fighters to counter a aircratf which is flying almost 8000ft above their head..

IAF already retired MIG-25 in year 2006, which can fly at a hight of 80000ft , it was reported that MIG-25 was spotted deep inside pakistan territory in but F-16 can't counter it just because it was flying a great hight..

Vayu Sena - IAF MiG-25R incursion over Pakistan in 1997

May (1997), an Indian Force (IAF) Mikoyan MiG-25RB Foxbat-B reconnaissance aircraft created a furore when the pilot flew faster than Mach 2 over Pakistani territory following a reconnaissance mission into Pakistan airspace. The Foxbat broke the sound barrier while flying at an altitude of around 65,000 feet, otherwise the mission would have remained covert, at least to the general public. The Pakistan Government considered the breaking of the sound barrier as deliberate: to make the point that the Pakistan Air Force (PAF) has no aircraft in its inventory which can come close to the cruising height of the MiG-25 (up to 74,000 feet).

However, from one of PAF's Forward Operating Bases, radar traced the intruder and the F-16As scrambled. Sources in the PAF said that there was no need to intercept a plane flying at the altitude of 65,000 feet as the F-16 can reach an operating ceiling of 55,000 feet.

coming up next is the russian PAK-DA bomber which can fly at 150,000ft..

High Service Ceiling

Advantages:
Can easily piss on enemy aircraft
reconnaissance

Disadvantages:
Aircraft engine will get easily worn out because of altitude and oxygen level
Gives the SAM more range to chase

Euro-fighter is one of the best Air-crafts, But Its flying at 8000ft don't give us the advantage any longer as F-16 blockC/D are equipped with modern engines like F110-GE-132 delivering 142 kN or F110-GE-129 delivering 131 kN enhancing the range and service selling of the F-16 to 60,000+ ft...

Also All the F-16 are now armed with AIM-120 BVRs with range of 50kms at speed of Mach4..
Even u r flying 500 to 1000m down, U can still shoot down the high flying adversary..
These are some of the reasons why MIG-25 was retired..

Not only the altitude matters here but speed too..
The PAF forward base may not have the BVRs or if they had than it was not loaded, Even If PAF would have loaded BVRs and too off for a chase it and reach the required altitude for Mach 2, by that time, IAF MIG-25 would have completed the mission and returning to the base at speed near to Mach 3..
