And this is where you are wrong. America can not be trusted. If you think you will get same respect and treatment from Washington as UK, Japan or Australia get, you're naive. Like it or not, you are important to US as long as you serve their interests, I.e. contain China and keep a check on PLAAN in IOR.
India itself is not trustable.
If you think any country in the world has morality in their diplomacy, then, you are naive.
I have told you earlier, if you think India is
trusting them.
Diplomacy has no morality or emotions.
You will have implement your country's short and long term interests with a long term safety goals by any or unfair means.
It's pakistan who is
trusting China, India still keeps substantial differences.
America will never support you against any other nation in the region, specially not Pakistan where they have vested interests.
- America won't be even support us against anyone in Entire world, not only region. They still have problem with China's military, PRC's economic interests are common with USA. Though, India trying to be next global economic engine wants $500 bn trade with USA and replacing China as America's largest trade partner in long term. For what, India is going to score s trade surplus in just 9 years from now.
- India does not need anybody's help in the Region. With 75% economic output of the South Asia and dominating other fields similarly, we are enough alone.
Don't forget that your biggest strength is your size and in time you may use your weight to challenge US and this is where they will need Pakistan.

USA had supported PRC against the Soviets, PRC put a balance, in fact distance with both of them.
India not being a member of UNSC, without sole political power, has to keep common interests as well as differences between USA and PRC and possibly Russian Federation to many extents.
But Pakistan is putting all of eggs in China's basket. That's naive now.
American lawmakers can cry and introduce hundreds of laws, there will be no crippling sanctions on Pakistan as long they're in Kabul.
We already know that.
There is no harm in trying and breaking the confidence of Pakistan again and again, once we get into Kabul (militarily), it will make you more insignificant.
All previous sanctions failed the purpose they were meant for. Pakistan came stronger after each and every sanction or embargo. This is what the Congress was told two weeks ago.
Even we had sanctions, though blunderous socialist government failed to get UNSC membership and nuclear tests in 60s, India did nuke tests in 1974, 7 years after ban and today playing to become the member of group of same countries (NSG) who came together to oppose us.
I knew it.
Neither side is sincere about solving our issues. PA usually gets the blame for sabotaging the peace process but your military is not much different.
Your military has controlled your nation directly for 32 years and indirectly I can't say.
Same isn't about ours.
India has stronger civil institutions and once you are at peace with Pakistan, it will be damn hard to convince the taxpayer why you need 50, 75, 100 billion or more dollars for defence.
- Wrong, at first place our defense budget is small as percentage of GDP and declining (in terms of %age) every year.
- Our citizens too do have aspirations. Even Mars Mission (though launched by congis) added votes for Modi. Similarly, in India, people want to see India playing greater role in geopolitics or foreign media's reports about India's role specially (increased significantly now after aggressive foreign policy, economic rise and improved defence exports).
- Even Indian citizens know about Pakistan's way smaller defence budget and they do not see Pakistan as an enemy alone (though Riaz Chacha thinks Indians are obsessed with Pak.)
In the common citizens or school kids, wherever I have lived in the country, people do have an obsession with countries making global news and want to see the same in nation.
There are plenty of satire jokes made by Indians on themselves too over such issues.
In the State Himachal Pradesh, my hometown and where I got my school education, we used to have fun with the joke we are a
Developing Country because we are progressing but "amreeka" and "kanada" are not
developing because they are lazy and useless.
