Security agencies are examining reports that four Indians could be among the 20 ISIS fighters who were reportedly beheaded in full public view.

Security agencies are examining reports that four Indians could be among the 20 ISIS fighters who were reportedly beheaded in full public view for trying to flee a war zone in Iraq's Mosul city.

However, there is no confirmation yet about the killing of four Indians, official sources said here.

According to Indian intelligence agencies, a total of 23 Indians have so far joined the ISIS of whom six were killed in different incidents in Iraq-Syria. As many as 17 Indians are believed to be in different conflict zones of the ISIS-held areas.

Agencies were verifying the reports through different sources and trying to ascertain where there were Indians among those beheaded, the sources said.

Sending out a chilling warning to others in the terror group against desertion, the Islamic State in Iraq and Syria (ISIS) captured a group of its own militants who tried to escape the battlefront in Mosul city of Nineveh province, and executed them in public, Ara News reported quoting a local source citing an ISIS "official" as saying.

"The dissidents were arrested at a checkpoint in the vicinity of Mosul on Friday. After being identified as fighters who have left their positions at the fighting front in western Mosul, they were transferred to the Sharia Court for prosecution," the Ara News said.

"Subsequent to a brief interrogation, the Sharia Court decided to behead the dissidents on charges of treason," it said.

Observers said the beheadings were made in a bid to terrorise ISIS members who may leave their posts in the war-torn region.

The jihadis were beheaded in central Mosul in front of hundreds of people, mostly ISIS members and commanders, the report said.

"Witnessing the brutal punishment has caused a state of panic among the members of the group," the Ara News said.

ISIS considers jihadis who leave their posts without permission as traitors and enemies of its so-called Caliphate.

Son of ex-Major General held in Goa for ‘terror links’

Dehradun/Panaji: A 44-year-old man from Dehradun who is being interrogated by the Anti-terrorist Squad (ATS) of the Goa Police for the past three days on suspicion of being linked with jihadi groups is a Doon School alumnus and son of a decorated former Major-General of the Indian Army.

Sameer Sardana, who police have said is a "Hindu who practises Islam", was arrested by the ATS in Vasco on Monday and has been in remand since. A chartered accountant by profession who has been associated with leading MNCs like Accenture and worked in Hong Kong, Malaysia and Saudi Arabia, Sardana was held by the police in Goa after he was found "wandering suspiciously" at the Vasco railway station. The police have seized his laptop and confiscated the five passports and four mobile phones that he was carrying with him.

Goa DGP T N Mohan told TOI on Wednesday that the police have "as of today" not found anything concrete to link him with any terror organization. "He was found in suspicious circumstances and we are trying to establish his antecedents to the level of satisfaction," Mohan said.

Sleuths from the Intelligence Bureau and ATS have interrogated Sardana, a Delhi University BCom graduate presently based in Mumbai, at two different locations -- Vasco and Panaji -- in the last couple of days even as judicial magistrate, first class, Vasco, has now remanded him to police custody.

This is direct evidence of what happens to one's brain when one converts to Islam. All these army brats joining ISIS must be children born to retarded parents like Ajai Shukla.

I say, behead all the Indians who joined IS there. Good riddance.
But then who will clean toilets of Arabs? :pound:

If Indian muslims are going to Iraq and Syria it is a result of high demand for their skills. It is a success of Modi's skill development mission. We are exporting skilled toilet cleaners to a global market.

I feel this to be a fake news to educate or warn Indian Muslims not to join ISIS.

Yes even I felt it was fake news. Many intel agencies plant such news to bring about a change in the way their population thinks. I remember last month British MI6 leaked information that their intel agencies have muslim spies inside mosques who are keeping an eye on all activities. This was done to make sure any potential ISIS applicant will think twice before telling anyone that he wants to join ISIS fearing that he might be talking to an undercover MI6 agent.

I think, if Indian intel agencies want to plant any news, the best news would be "Indian muslims highly celebrated in Iraq". Let them go there and die. At least we can get rid of this filth earlier.

Look at the communication blunder that our administration made. At a time when international media houses are pouring in billions in their propaganda machinery (BBC, CNN) to foster anti-jihad sentiments, instead of building on that rhetoric, Rajnath Singh said "ISIS doesn't have presence among Indian muslims because of strong family values", now that they have realized the extent of jihadi penetration after busting ISIS cells, he had to retract that statement and admit that ISIS is a threat to India.

The BJP needs to get its act right in communicating properly and using the existing atmosphere to their advantage. They can't just ignore the low hanging fruit and claim that media is hostile to them. Are bhai, what do you do even when media is friendly to you? you claim that ISIS has no presence in India.
