38mm Auto Grenade Launcher System(AGS)

Hey guys, I saw that Ordnance Factory Tiruchirapalli has listed a 38mm Auto Grenade Launcher System under its list of "products under various stages of development". I cannot find much about it on the net.

No sir, that is 38mm Multi-shell(grenade) launcher,
I am talking about a Automatic Grenade Launcher that fires 38mm grenade shells like this one:-

They are already manufacturing AGS-30 at OFT. But this happens to be an indigenous AGL. That they are developing.

No sir, you guys are mixing it with MGL, I am talking about Automatic Grenade Launcher like MK19.

BTW, what's the use of AGL in Indian Army ? DO they use it for riot control, for launching smoke grenades or do they use them for counter insurgency like MK19 is used ??

Participating in the Ordnance Factories Day celebrated at the campus of

Ordnance Factory of Tiruchirapalli
(OFT) here on Saturday,

Shirish Khare
, General Manager of OFT said that the factory at present is developing two new weapons namely 7.62mm PKT (mountable) gun and 38mm Auto Grenade Launcher System (AGS).
