There was a TimesNow debate about this today(extradite David to India) and Paki guy Kasoori started his usual Allah and religious rants and was shunted off by Arnab.

Gosh... these educated looking idiots are so brainwashed by religion.:tsk:

Can someone please post the video?

Emotionally good plan, but International Laws on double jeopardy states that no one can be tried for the same case twice, irrespective of the country.

Death sentence is a gift for such criminals, I think imprisonment really helps them to realise and regret, that they were doing wrong, now after 7-8 years Headley's inner-self, human inside him will force him to think that his religious scriptures and lessons which taught him to do Jihad and kill innocent human beings were wrong.

If after 35 years he comes out alive we'll catch him and hang here and bring to book. :cool2:

Why did US refuse to extradict him, he should be punished for his crimes in India.
This is the reasoning:
"The Justice Department spoke to this. He's been tried, convicted, and will serve in the United States," State Department spokesperson Victoria Nuland said Friday when asked about a report that India wanted to keep up the effort to extradite Headley.

Acting US Attorney Gary S. Shapiro, told reporters in Chicago Thursday that in order to extradite Headley to India, Headley would have to violate his guilty plea by not co-operating with the US government or any foreign government in future investigations and by not being truthful.

"Under the plea agreement, he cannot be extradited to India for the crimes he has been convicted of here. If the plea agreement was voided, then our agreement as to extradition is voided as well," he said.

Under the plea deal, US prosecutors "had agreed not to seek the death penalty against him and to not extradite him to Pakistan, India or Denmark for the offences to which he pleaded guilty."

Indian govt should have pushed for extradition then given him the death penalty.

Arnab was being very silly IMO - he was saying `once again America has put its own interest first...` etc in not extraditing Headley to India - did not watch the show after that. All nations except India think of their nation and people first. India should have tried harder to get Headley extradited.

US refused extradition. India would be allowed to question him via video conference.
What would have happened if suituation was visa versa , an Indian nation say a hard line lefty carries out a recce in US & the same data is used to strike similar to 26/11 & the guy is caught by Indian agency in India

What would US do & will India ignore if US ask the suspect extradict ?
