The only democrat who has a slight chance of beating Trump is bloomberg. If the democrats appoint Bloomberg to take on Trump it would be a 50-50 shot, if not then Trump is heavy favourite to win against others.

A bloomberg win would be catastrophic for India since he is fully in china's pocket. He will also have the US deep state fully behind him like obama did. He will do a lot of favours to china and do a lot of harm to India.

If bernie somehow manages to get the nomination he has almost 0 chance of beating Trump. Florida which is full of Cubans and religious Jews will never vote for an atheist commie. Penn will never vote for bernie due to shale and healthcare job losses. Michigan will never vote for him due to potential auto job losses.
Without those three states, no one can ever win the 270 votes. In fact against Bernie, Trump might actually win up to 40 states instead of the 30 he won last time.
I would call it 80-20 in favour of trump.

However from India's perspective, I wouldn't mind a bernie win. He will ruin American economic and military power in 4 years. This would make America and Japan much more reliant on India for maintaining their security. It will bring all sorts of benefits to India in trade and tech transfer and what not.

A Trump win on the other hand will also be quite tough for India. Trump's long term vision has been to crash the dollar to counter the currency manipulation done by china and germany. It will be the last nail in china's economic coffin just as US finished off Japan in the 90s.
If trump comes back to power India should be ready to weaken the rupee by up to 25% in the next 2 years.

He is also best of the lot for India, apart from trade squabbles, there isn't much he cares for which is good. All the others are virtue signalling douches who will interfere from POK to China and who will sell out their own mothers for a Nickel.

You think it's easy to get a trade deal when you have tough negotiators on both sides? It took a all out tarrif assault on China which also impacted the US GDP by at least 1.5% and 2 years to get a phase 1 deal and the Chinks had to loose plenty to buckle. TOT or make in India for 24 helos, please, expectations need to be grounded in reality. No country is going to offer all this for handful of small orders. Trade deal will happen when there is point of compromise on both sides, we are not there yet.
