Rahul Gandhi and company simply does not understand India. And I believe there is only one person to blame - the person who came to India as a surprise gift.

This person has managed to make far more enemies than she has made friends.

These people want to rule by highlighting divisions of India. Time says Modi is divider in chief. Of course a Pakistani would say that. Fact is this foreign gift is the divider in chief. She is the reason why the bulk of Congress party has disappeared.

Her mistrust of party lieutenants and her use of intrigue would leave Mughal court behind.

His (or for that matter her) understanding of India is not so different from those of his ancestors. They too ruled and governed in a samrat-type manner, doling out freebies and favours to durbaaris and cultivating a neo-Mughal eco-system.

In those times, there was less awareness, less opposition and unparalleled devotion to the dynasty by the people who were long used to living under various rulers or jaageerdaars.

Even then, no dynasty PM ever won 50% of the popular vote, the best they won was 48% in 1984. The dynasty smothered any promising leadership of its generation that threatened to upend the cart.

It started with forced exile of nationalists like Tilak in early 1900s
Next with the banishment of Netaji in 1930s
Sidelining of stalwarts such as Sardar Patel, Rajaji, Syama Prasad Mukherjee and others in the Nehruvian era

Next leader to threaten this cosy setup was Pt. Lal Bahadur Shastri, we all know what happened to him. Gradually most other senior leaders too were sidelined and Congress filled with lefties of the worst kind.

During Rajiv's time, this trend continued as he and his advisors hounded and bullied anyone who stood upto him.

After Rajiv's assasination, Congress was in a vaccum, the family was still kacchi, so to speak and that led to the recall from obscurity of PV Narasimha Rao, who was thought to be pliable, holding-the-fort type guy while the dynasty got its bearing together. PVNR turned out to be more Chankian that dienasty thought and he outthought, outmaneuvered and outclassed them and their acolytes- Arjun Singh and N D Tiwari types.

The dienasty of course would not take it lying down, after 1996 election loss, they all hounded PVNR out of the party using Sitaram Kesri, who himself was unceremoniously dumped like a torn condom. The smarter ones saw the writing on the wall and chartered their own path, preferring to be big fish in smaller ponds and exercise leverage that way rather than risk fading into obscurity in dienasty's shadow- Pawar, Mamta etc. Those who failed to see the writing on the wall, found out to their cost that their loyalties were not enough to save their skins from the wrath of the Khan- Pilot, Scindia.

Few dared after that, except YSR who believed there was no reason for him to bow down to dienasty dictats -> we know how that one ended. The son chose to follow the Pawar route.

This is a party that has now fused itself with the idea - of the dienasty, for the dienasty and by the dienasty. There's simply no space for negotiations or debate on this. They believe that sooner or later, they'll return to power, if for nothing then by default and then they'll continue along their well-trodden path.

Do not expect any deep or meaningful changes, we'll see some cosmetics here and there, but that's all. Now they are in the holding mode, make no mistake they'll start the same crap all over again.

Dynasties know how to rule. At least keep power broad-based. My observation is that she is not able to trust anybody outside her immediate family. Doubts have been expressed if she even trusts her current Durbari.

Yes she can come back by default. And thats why we have spent so much energy to keep her away.

Dienasties also know how easy to lose their kingdom. It has happened to very dienatsy in the past. One cannot compensate for gene pool and worldly intelligence with a dienasty.

The more I interact with Tamils the more I laugh. Their world view is very similar to you know who (one of our neighbors who force themselves to believe in all conspiracy theories to cover their fallacies), however one major difference is that they are so filmy that they will rather vote their favorite film star to become PM than any other able candidate. This is simply laughable, top it up with conspiracy theories!

Not a surprise when they celebrate favourite film actors like Rajnikanth to the degree they do. If for the rest of India cricket is a religion, for them it is the cult of film personalities.

A slight correction, I will not vote Tendulkar or any cricketer to become PM against any nationalist leader. Hence, the difference.

This tweet from "Friends of Congress" aptly describes the situation of Congress leader.
Her children are carbon copy of her.

Arrogance, when they think they are above the "little people". The same attitude will kill their party.

Apparently, the guy who defeated Scindia was a congress worker for nearly 20 years. He had requested just a selfie from Scindia after MP elections who had rudely ignored him. He approached Shah to fight Scindia in revenge and defeat him. Shah agreed, and now Scindia lost his home seat, because of his arrogance.

I still clearly remember Scindia throwing away the coconut Prasad which was given to him. Karm ka phal sabko milta hai.
