The US footware of the season could be the 'flip flops'.

And then it will become a world rage with all flipping and flopping!

This style of footwear has been worn by the people of many cultures throughout the world, originating as early as the ancient Egyptians in 4,000 B.C. The modern flip-flop descends from the Japanese zōri, which became popular after World War II when soldiers returning to the United States brought them back. They became popular in casual settings during the 1960s, 1990s, and 2000s, and some varieties have even found their way into more formal attire, despite criticism.
The use of flip-flops can result in many pains and injuries, including ankle sprains and broken bones. Some individuals who walk for long periods report pain in the feet, ankles, and lower legs. The lack of support provided by flip-flops often results in over-pronation injuries, caused by the foot slipping inwards further than normal. This can lead to flat feet and tendonitis. Other injuries that may result are due to the footwear's open-toed nature, such as stubbed toes, cuts, and bruises. Doctors recommend purchasing pricier sandals with thick-cushioned soles, as well as those that have a strap that is not canvas and that comes back almost to the ankle.

I wonder which of the flip floppers of the US Presidential elections will cause strain and pain! :pound:

Country flag
So President Obama wins the final debate and is expected to lead the points table in the opinion surveys.

Are we now going to see a pattern of 8 year terms.

Obama: The Dictator's Choice For U.S. President - Investors.com
Election '12: From Moscow to Caracas to Havana, something disturbing is happening: Dictators with long records of enmity toward the U.S. are endorsing Obama for president. What does that say about the Obama presidency?

Fresh from abusing Venezuela's opposition after his own rigged re-election, Chavez declared, "If I were American, I would vote for Obama. He is my candidate." It was his second direct endorsement of Obama in a week. After that, he spooled off his plans to impose socialism on his country.

Around the same time, Mariela Castro, daughter of Cuba's ruling communist capo Raul Castro, Fidel's brother, told CNN: "As a citizen of the world, I would like for (Obama) to win."

She added: "Obama deserves a second chance and he needs greater support to move forward with his projects which I believe come from the heart."

There was more of that appreciation of Obama's heartwarmingness from Russia's stoat-faced autocrat Vladimir Putin: "Obama is a genuine person who really wants to change much for the better," he said, in what The Moscow Times said was "widely viewed as his most direct endorsement of Obama."

The Gallup poll too puts Obama up... but Gallup traditionally have been the biggest outliers in such things. It's pretty darn close. If the polls are to be believed, I can't believe Romney got such a huge jump after the first debate.

TBH I'd vote for the president who said - instead of burning $100 million on ads, flying my jet state to state and staying in expensive hotels, I'd like to put the $$$ to better use.

INSTANT WIN.

In the 3rd round debate, on foreign policy, check how often countries were mentioned -

Source: 《Foreign Policy》

Though well known as the US's pet, with all its lobbying might Israel comes no.3, surprisingly.

And India, eh? Where is India? Even Pakistan was mentioned 25 times

haha... What logic is that ? Because Iran was mentioned more than Israel so you think now Iran is US's pet/ally and Israel is losing its ground ?

India has never been an ally of the US and at the same time India has never been a problem to the US (except in the 1971 war case)......also the debate was mostly about things which are kinda bothering the US at this time...so naturally India was not mentioned..Japan was not mentioned either if you think about it..

It is good we weren't mentioned because if we were it would be lies and propaganda.

The whole world wants Obama. On that basis alone, I would never vote for him.
