Unfortunately there condition will be same here in India as well , they will be called Hindu muhajir, they will struggle to get jobs , education and house
Paaji, give them citizenship with full rights, free education, loans to set up business, reservations to poor ....I'm sure they can do well in India for sure!
yes for sure buuuuuuuuuuut who will give them loan, job, education in india?????? minister???IAS ??? whooooo????
Nobody gave us Bengalis anything either after partition, but I dare say most of the Bengali Hindus who made a wise decision of coming over to this side leaving everything behind despite woes of bleak future, actually fared better than their counterparts that stayed behind in BD. Particularly, their children and grand-children are doing better. So, yes, these migrants would be facing financial hardship in coming months (though I think some or other like RSS may help them), they at least won't have live under a threat of being killed or their daughters being kidnapped and raped. I would say even if I am poor, I would happily welcome being poor if my family can be safe. Of course they had the opportunity to convert, which they might have been too stubborn to do. I respect their courage, though many wouldn't.
For these migrants life will be tough if not worse but atleast they will not fear forced conversions or life threats. I can only hope that they'll be accepted into their new homeland and society and their children will be given a solid start and required facilities for a brighter future.
Do you think all the poor girls in India is being regularly being abducted and raped when Govt. and society looks other way? If so, give the basis of your assumption. Give evidence before slighting my nation, or shut up. You seem to have forgotten what India is after having such a long sojourn in UK and watching Pakistani news.
Frankly, I am amazed by your post. You rose in my eyes a bit. And, yes, they will be accepted. there are always people who would resent anything and they would resent this too. But most of the Indians are actually very accommodating to anyone who doesn't pose any threat.
The grass always looks greener on the other side. For most Pakistani hindus, India is Bollywood and Bollywood is India, that is their perception. People tend.to idealise only to be disappointed later. Even if they're lucky enough to be accepted into their new environment, they will mostly remain poor peasants just like the majority of the migrants that crossed the borders during the Partition in either direction. Unless there's a social plan, most of these people may not live upto their own expectations.
hmmm... what would that mean in this context? Women are vulnerable everywhere - be it the well-off or the poor. By your logic there shouldn't be any sexual harassment or rapes in Delhi or in NY or in London. Then what are those news that we read?
what that means??? another stupid statement from paki. talk about paki side, on india side many migrants from partition time are now middle class or above the small city i live in is a example of that, and you talk about social plan like you pakis ever had one other than kill or convert infidels, paki will always talk sh*t about india because of jealousy no matter what they say.
OT I have an uncle in BD. There are attacks on Hindus there but fortunately he and his family has not been affected.
@Ray i won't favor citizenship for them, certainly not. but refugee visas may be granted for those who have certain reasons to be in India, if attacked due to the religious or other reasons there, and no other country offer them stay, except India :ranger: this is a wrong move, indeed .....
@Neo You should read this. This is what happens in your advanced state of Pakistan. www.outlookindia.com | @rock127 @Blackwater @jackprince sirs can see this post.
Now they dont have to worry about their daughters being kidnapped and/or raped & converted or being vicitms of genocide in pakistan, they will be able to focus on surviving and succeeding and I am sure they will. Most immigrants have.
