US Marine Corps Harrier Jet Crashes Into Okinawa Coast

Similar crashes had also taken place in the past. In 2004, a US military helicopter crashed into a university campus in Okinawa, although students were on summer vacation and the accident did not cause any civilian deaths or injuries. Harrier jets alone have been involved in a total of 18 accidents since Okinawa reverted to Japanese rule in 1972.
Damn, seems like Okinawa is cursed for jets and helis................:scared2::sad::scared1:

A Pakistan Air Force (PAF) pilot was killed on Saturday as a fighter jet F7-PG crashed in Jamrud, Khyber Agency, ISPR official said.

Officials claim the aircraft crashed due to a technical fault. The area is a high peaked mountain located in the confluence of two tribal areas.

This is a defence forum, pay a little respect for men in uniform.
Shame on you!

Post reported.
Can't even say the word against Hafeez sayeed , sayed salauddin , Maulana masood azhar and then teach us how to respect men in uniform
First do introspection about yourself and your nation then take morale high ground ..ok

It was a trainer. So it could have been due to an error. Investigation is on.

IAF Mirages are going well and good; now for road runways.
I guess PAF Mirages are old. When were they procured?
Indian mirages were purchased in 1984, obviously they are in better shape and an ambitious mlu program is under way.

Ours date back to the late sixties.
Although many have been retired or cannibalised, some of the oldest airframes are 40+ years old.

PAF operates the largest fleet of operational Mirage Iii/V which includes a significant number of refurbished units from Australia, Libya and Lebanon.

The Australian units were upgraded to the ROSE configuration and those the best we have.
