Man we really need some marketing specialists in the MOD, this ads are just lame. They should just try to hire some people like yousuf 
or can u guys think of a MoD made spot or ad which gave u goosebumbs like this video??

I can say this much and I have seen both lives at close quarters - the Army life and the corporate life.
Each have their tensions.
But if one is not so concerned about money, then there is no better life than in the Indian Army.
It is routine and yet challenging and unlike the corporate world, where one can quit if one does not like the organisation, one cannot do so in the Army. It thus teaches one to be patient as also persevering even when the odds are stacked against you. That is a great challenge.
You get free time every day to play games and that is very relaxing and enjoyable. It is not feasible in the civil jobs.
There are official dinners, clubs, private parties. And what is great is that you do not attend them to get bushed! If one is in his cups. it can affect his career. It may not so happen in the civvy street. Thus, it teaches one to carry himself well and not be a spectacle.
The wife is very much a part of the organisation and so she is not left out in the cold. In the civvy street, most of the office dos is Stag! The wife is never involved to feel as a part of the family!
Then there is not the worry of medical attention, even when retired. One does not have to spend fortunes buying medical insurance!

He could not be meaning Brig Yousaf who was the Deputy of the ISI and incharge of organising the Mujahideens against the Soviets.

There is a recruitment office (I guess) at Gokhale Road in Kolkata. Is that where he has to contact?
As of today, he is 22yrs 10m 10days old. He is 5`10" tall and quite athletic.

He could contact that office.
He could also go to HQ Bengal Area and meet the Colonel A. HQ Bengal Area is just opposite the Race Course and next to the Police Training School.

The armed forces is, to my mind, the best career.
You see India and these days, you see the world too.
Nice pay and perks.
And you have a regulated life, where you keep yourself fit by doing PT in the morning and playing games in the evening. Both compulsory and are parades!
And what is the cake's topping is that when you are in service and even when you retire, you and your family, to include parents and dependents, are fully covered medically!

There are many training institutions in the Punjab.
Minerva Academy, I think in Jullunder, run by Col Deol is one that comes to mind.
I also saw an Ad on TV that the Amity University runs such a course.

Sir,i couldn't agree any more with you in this matter!but don't you think sir that our Armed Forces are too strict when it comes to recruiting persons with spectacles?i mean i have seen soldiers from many country serving in the frontier wearing spectacles for example in Israeli Defence Forces.so why do our Armed Forces discriminate persons just on the basis of spectacles!men who wear spectacles also have the same courage and vigor to serve the motherland just like their normal eyed counterparts but it seems that the Armed Forces are too much concerned to employ them in the servicesHe could not be meaning Brig Yousaf who was the Deputy of the ISI and incharge of organising the Mujahideens against the Soviets.

but Sir afaik,the Army has a guideline to recruit only those persons whose higher visual acuity standard lie within the permissible range of +/- 2.5.sir after passing my higher secondary i wanted to join the NDA but chose not to sit for the exam after i learnt this information as my eye power was more than the permissible limit(it was only slightly above the permissible range though).
