Kashyap Parupalli Wins Indian Grand Prix Gold Title

Kashyap Parupalli Won the Title of Men’s Singles in Indian Grand Prix Gold 2012

Second seed Kashyap Parupalli won men’s singles title of  Shaheed Dr. K.L. Garg – Syed Modi International India Grand Prix Gold 2012. Kashyap won the title by defeating 14th seed Thailand player Tanongsak Saensomboonsuk in three sets by 21-19 14-21 21-17 in 71 minutes. Kashyap is the only Indian player to win the title of Indian Grand Prix Gold being held at Babu Banarasi Das Indoor Stadium, Lucknow. The other Indian player to reach the finals of the tournament is P.V. Sindhu who lost to Lindaweni Fanetri of Indonesia in three sets by 21-15 18-21 21-18 in 73 minutes of women’s singles.
