my sense is, when jairam ramesh was talking about sustainability and when he was making a comparison between US, india and china and the latter two trying to follow the first and better the first, which he was doing in a critical manner, he might have all such methods in mind.
indeed fabulous stuff, you've made the most illiterate do what people who have specifically studied and are trained to do that not even attempting to do. chaps from other fields of engineering ending up in IT industry, or pursuing MBA, and here are people who are not even supposed to understand any of it, but delivering par excellence, and its quite a compliment when Bunker Roy says, they are half germans in precision.
and aga khan architecture award for people who have never been to school, let alone an architecture school, one cant have words for appreciation for that sort of work.
what it most importantly shows and as put forth by mr Bunker Roy, the solutions are there, dont force it on them. try figuring out those solutions, and implement those, and not some which come from WB or from a babu sitting in some cushy room.
