Syria war is far from over. It may continue till end of world war 3 which is not even started.

However Russia will be able to stabilize the situation in a few months. USA will have to backtrack.

I think national borders will change but that change eventually will not to USA's liking on plan.

Quite likely that Iraq and syria merge into one country. A Kurdistan which takes land from current turkey is likely to be created as well.

Over 100 villages reconcile in Syria

https://www.almasdarnews.com/article/over/ | Al-Masdar News
The countrywide ceasefire has surprisingly been successful as Syrian government officials report over 100 villages have now agreed to reconcile after several years of war and instability. According to a source from the Syrian government, the majority of the reconciliation agreements have taken place in the Hama Governorate, where several groups recently settled their differences in exchange for peace. The source added that several villages around Qal’at Al-Madeeq inside the Al-Ghaab Plains were among the recently reconciled in the Hama Governorate. In the Damascus countryside, a Russian peace delegation is working to reconcile the rebel groups and the Syrian government forces in the Qudsiyah suborb after several failed attempts in the past between the two parties. Conducting the mediation process is a Russian peace delegation that is working diligently to uphold all agreements and to oversee their implementation. Since Jihadist groups are excluded from the countrywide ceasefire agreement, the Russian delegation has specifically focused on local rebel groups that do not have a criminal history.

Two days ago, the Syrian Arab Army (SAA) captured the strategic mountain of Jabal Zuwayqat which overlooks Idlib province from the northeastern fringes of the Latakia governorate. Now, Al-Masdar News is able to bring exclusive video footage from this battle in which insurgent forces were forced to retreatAs seen in the video, troops of the SAA’s reconnaissance repeatedly call upon ATGM fire support as to force Islamist rebels to pull back.
While ATGM missiles are usually used to combat tanks, the Syrian Armed Forces in Latakia have increasingly used their heat guided missile weaponry against foot soldiers. This kind of tactical warfare is largely unseen in Syria before; however, it has proved very effective in inflicting casualties upon the enemy. Also, due to the Latakian terrain, which is dominated by mountains and woods, tanks on both sides of the conflict have been rendered largely useless. Previously, government-held ATGM missiles in Latakia were mostly stockpiled on the Syrian coast. However, SAA commanders now seem eager to explore new usage for this highly important weaponry.

Then in last year thousands and thousands would have asked why does USA supplies weapons to those who kill children and gave birth to the true evil called ISIS. Why did not so called Western civilisation make any effort to eradicate the menace to humanity called ISIS when they were showing the early signs of becoming what it has become today.

Any death is sad. Death of innocents are more so. But, sorriest are the people who shows their hypocrisy at the cost of innocent lives. In last one and half decade the so called Western world had destroyed three nations which provided a higher level of modern education and technology to its people and particularly was fabulous to its women populations compared to the nations of the region where modern education is scoffed at and women's right is laughed off. Now, Lybia completed destroyed with every sign of civilisation dying fast with every coming days; Iraq more or less looted dry with signs of Islamic hardliners taking over - only Syria is left which still holds on to the signs of modern civilisation in a medieval Arabia.

Yes, the dictatorial regimes were brutal at Syria. But, compared to others in the same ME region, they were and are nothing exceptional. The close pal of USA and Frenchies - the Saudis are plain barbarians in the garb of scented modernity. Yet, the hypocrites like you fail to provide statistics of Saudi royalties' benevolent works like decapitation of a Royal Princess, no less, for loving a man of her choice.

Bashar has killed more civilians than any other party in Syria.

Human Right Watch has statistics and files for Saudi Arabia, don' t worry . And for India, and for France, and for US. This being about Syria, my link is for Syria.
