ISLAMABAD: The central character of the memogate scandal, Mansoor Ijaz has submitted his BlackBerry phone and other evidences to the secretary of a judicial commission investigating the affair.
Ijaz continued recording his testimony from the London High Commission via video conferencing before the commission in Islamabad.
Ijaz told the commission about his meetings with President Asif Ali Zardari, Pervez Musharraf and former chief of the ISI Ahsanul Haq.
He said that he had exchanged text messages with Hussain Haqqani, the former ambassador to the United States, on May 3. However, the messages were not related to the memo, he added.
Zahid Bukhari, the counsel for Haqqani protested at the use of BlackBerry phone by Ijaz during the proceeding.
Chief Justice Balochistan High Court Qazi Faiz Essa, who was heading the commission, said an action would be taken on this.
Earlier, Bukhari had also raised objections over the procedure of recording the testimony.
The commission had snubbed Bukhari for interfering during the proceedings.
