Nice speech, I feel "defense is a critical part" in building a nation and it is addressed nicely !
I am planning to start a discussion on a very piculiar subject which nobody would parhephs ever thought of.

It may be "Economics of deplomacy and Intelligence"

Amazing job @Yusuf bhai. But it seems like the audience was either full of ignorants who want to live in their idealistic dream world or smart ass who just wanted to show oh we are so thoughtful or actually both. Job for killing people , over smart bhuddha. Keep up the good job Yusuf bhai, our generation will make better leaders then these spineless insects.

Yusuf, really cool stuff!

Reflecting on the audience. More than being critical of them, one needs to analyse them as a reflection of what and how Indians per se are. The defence budget gets passed without a mention by the opposition in the parliament, the best that happens, the Finance Minister reads out the defence outlay, which ironically was skipped this time round, a few murmurs in the press, and that's about it. My sense, this has been done on purpose by the powers that be so that the glaring inadequacies in defence don't ever get questioned.

India and Indians has been bred on hardcore socialism (a concocted one at best, Scandinavians do it zillion times better), with capitalism considered a taboo, so the reactions from the audience were on expected lines. Rather than questioning how we can better ourselves in defence, or how greatness gets affected with limited defence budget, it was the typical socialist questioning talking about other priorities over defence outlay, and mind you, I say all this when I am no fan of our defence budget being at 2.5% of GDP, leave alone 3%.

This questioning simply suggests how difficult it is to bring about a change in India!

Well researched and thorough speech, @Yusuf.

If you don't mind me saying this, I think the point you made about having a system that can work in all terrains, is a subject that we could debate upon.

pretty ordinry lecture, mahrof raza is better
The lecture may seem preliminary to us because we are hardcore defense entrust and have a lots of knowledge in the subject. Look at the audience @Yusuf sir is addressing. I think the lecture he delivered was best for masses and the people who are new to this field. Understandability is a must. You are creating awareness and not you are reading a research paper in some conference of experts. Yousuf sir delivered that in a highly professional manner.

I am soon going to start a thought provoking thread of a highly strange subject named " Economics of Diplomacy and Intelligence" .

Thanks PM.

Yes it can be debated. I pointed the examples of helicopters, rifles for the audience.

Yeah. Actually, I believe this one size fits all approach does not always work. For example, you cannot use a Ford F-350 for racing, and a Ford Mustang for hauling loads. This is just one point.

The rest of your speech was excellent, to the point, and well balanced.

Very well done.

@Bornubus

Please don't tag that kid of a @Zarvan. I've been seeing his posts in PDF too. He is just another fan boy without much needed logic and sense. His posts about fathoming about SCAR in their service rifle thread shows what sensible logic that he has.
