It is obvious that there is a possibility that the UP elections result will not be as predicted, where Mulayam will scupper up the BSP votes and will romp home.

It could be that Congress will show a better result that before, the Congress having opened all tricks of the trade.

Yet, the Congress has indicated that they have a bond not with any but the people!

Why is Mulayam so confused, any idea?

This indeed is puzzling specially when elections are on...it suggests that sp will not do as good as others expect it to.

UP elections: Congress has struck a deal with the people, not SP, says Rahul Gandhi

BAKSHI KA TALAB: In a 20-minute speech at a poll rally on Wednesday , Congress general secretary Rahul Gandhi took up point by point every criticism heaped upon him by his opponents, UP chief minister Mayawati and SP boss Mulayam Singh Yadav.

Tearing into the two over their "double-speak" , a confident Rahul regaled the crowds with healthy doses of humour. "Agar Mulayam Singhji CM bane to woh jadu ki chadi ghumayenge, aur aasmaan se tare girenge. Aaap bator lena (If Mulayam becomes CM, he will wave a magic wand and there will be a shower of stars from the sky. You collect them and take them home)," Rahul remarked amid much tittering in the crowd.

He went on, "Mulayam Singh promised free electricity though he did nothing during his three stints as UP CM. At that time the only free thing a consumer got was a bill," Rahul said, claiming that in Amethi people showed him electricity bills though they had no power connections.

The Gandhi scion recalled preelection parleys with SP and how Mulayam asked him "to rule Delhi leaving him to rule UP" . "Petrified of Mayawati, Mulayam offered Congress five seats and the party turned down the offer. Congress decided to strike a deal with the public and not with SP," Rahul hit out.

Maya's criticism over his village visits also found mention. Mayawati says his forays into villages are "mere drama," said Rahul and added he quite liked this drama and is determined to carry on with it. "I am just 40, have a long innings before me and therefore am in no hurry," he said, driving home the point that he would stick to his agenda of transforming UP, and was undeterred by mounting criticism.

Highlighting the absence of Mulayam and Maya from Tappal and Bhatta Parsaul during the farmers' stir, Rahul said these parties had ruined lives in UP.

But Rahul Gandhi has told SP to take a walk!

He is confident that the Congress will make the Govt without anyone's help.

After all, it could be true, they have pulled out all stop, fair and foul, to achieve their aim.

Most of Mamata's candidates in UP have not filed their papers for the elections. So he grand dream of entering UP seems to be dashed.

This confidence is only in the pocket borough of Amethi, Rai Barelli and Sultanpur. Ms.Gandhi/Vadra dare not step out of this area.

What is so much at stake if BJP comes to power? No smoke without fire?

BJP does not have a chance to come to power in UP.
