This wave is awesome but we must be careful while riding it!
Those are some big predictions. Initially there were predictions of China matching the 35 billion, then it became 50 billion, then 100 now 200?
Let us see what the actual meeting produces.

This is the economic muscle which China wants to use against India, For India National security is the utmost priority. In the past China promised many billions to other nations which did not become a reality.

Some mind games with Japan also involve I suspect.

What a distorted logic to fool ...smart people. I ask you would you throw in a huge amount of money in a neighbors house ..if you have intention to burn it down? Why would China do it? China is willing to invest 100s of billions of dollars to ensure that this trade partnership with India becomes a solid ,long term relationship and 2.5 billion human beings can be pulled out of poverty. They call it "win-win relationship" Of Course..some powers may not like 2.5 billion people out of poverty as it can disturb the status quo and cause decline of their power..but its good for the human race and could lead to death of terrorism which breeds in poor and hungry places..

Why is China intruding in India's territory and causing disturbances ??

Explain this if China wants peace and prosperity for 2.5 Billion people.

Nehru Hindi - Chini bhai bhai foolish logic is proved completely wrong.

Chinese are have labour, cash reserves and their country is saturated to invest and reap benefits.

Chinese are desperate to invest in India because India has the advantages.

By investing China wants to pin down India in some of the sectors and also want to buy local politicians who sell their loyalties for the sake of money.

Modern day wars are more of economic than direct wars.

This is not a fairy tale.

India has cash reserves and countries that are willing to co operate in latest technologies.

My view is that China has tons of savings (1.5 trillion Dollars) and most of it is in US tresury bonds yielding 1-2% per annum. Inflation rate is 2to 3 % so each day China keeps losing money and getting zero return on investment.
China wants to diversify its investment to developing countries so it can get decent rate of interest as get out most of its eggs from a single US basket.
Also, China would like to have good relation with India as a bad realtion can cause a lot of loss and tension in the region. India needs infrastructure and China has extra money to invest so it is a WIN-WIN situation. Once ,harmony and goodwill becomes common in China and India relationship, there is no limit how high trade can go. People to people contact can create love and harmony between 2.5 billion human beings and generate a wave of positivity throughout the world. Once the poor people are lifted out of poverty, they will not be attracted to terrorism. So, give a chance to this budding love affair between world two ancient civilizations.

Peanuts can be weighed once they are harvested.

Till then it is counting chickens before they are hatched.

It is silly of the Sri Lankan bus operators to protest the buying of Chinese buses.

    The Nation comes first.

Sri Lanka must latch on China for dear life.

That is more important than a few bus operators and their silly grouses.

The survival of Srii Lanka in a world that is hostile to her is more important and with the world at SL's throat over atrocities, the bus operators must realise that the sole soul support is atheist China and damn their activist Buddhist monks and their religious fervour.
