WZ10 and its prototype
Why are Chinese prototypes always painted in black?
Oh no, the prototype of WZ-10 is the blue one, the "black" one is already in services.
The "black" in fact is dark green like the color of J20, but in photos it seems as black.
A clearer image.
When did Z10 enter service? That should be a big news, why did I fail to read any official news regarding Z10's induction?
WZ10 seems to have been in service.
It seems to be a prototype until you find a picture of a squadron.
If we see that picture, then we can say for sure WZ-10 has been in service for at least 3 years
So I guess we won't see it until never considering P&W stopped exporting its engine in 2002.
Actually the engine spaces for the WZ 10 is modular and has been tested with at least 3 different engines including Russian, American, and Ukrainian. Russia and Ukraine are also helping China increase the power of a indigenous engine.
Considering that China has already shown the WZ 10 on a mainstream T.V. show I'm guessing it's already deployed but that's just my opinion. It's called fighting 5th space. You should watch it but's its a little melodramatic for my taste.
Looks quite a bit like the Apache.
They don't look particularly similar to me.
WZ-10 is very identical to Augusta A129 Mangusta:
Augusta A129 Mangusta
If it is a copy, then it is real good copy.
They are working in close 'collaboration' no doubt.
There are enough of English named Andys around in the US!
I get the hint. Lol...........
P&W delivered 10 engines before they were pressured by a US investigation to stop. That is plenty to run a test programme. I wouldn't really be looking to CIS to help with engine development when they are now buying French engines for military helicopters.
there is no offcial news.but our z10 is in service now, just like J10 a few years ago!
anyone can tell me how to put my pics?
I have a lot!
no,just several months ago!
upload them to imageshack, photobucket and post the links here. I would love to see your Z-10 squadron.
These PICS looks just so COOOOOOOOL!
