We have to wait till the situation stabilizes in Middle East. Saudi Arabia is funding one revolution at a time. Syria is work in progress. Iran and Lebanon will be the next one. Saudi's will not accept any remaining Talibans or Al Qaeda surviving anywhere in the region so they will get on their case as a last place to instigate the clean up of the mess they helped create. You serious? Saudi is the biggest Taliban backer FYI. It is a Wahhabi country that shares ideology with Taliban. It was the FIRST country to recognize Taliban government. We have to figure the nuclear weapon in to equation when the operation is started to clean up the mess in Pakistan. Whether or not they are split in to different nations can be answered at a later stage. For this to occur Western power will have to consult with other countries in the region as the out come will directly effect them economically and socially as well.

There is nothing we can do about the nukes unless you're telling we drop a plane full of MARCOs into Pakistan and conduct raid on nuclear installations after months of surveillance and intel gathering. That would be too expensive militarily, politically and financially. Pakistan is paranoid about its nuclear weapons since day 1. They have hidden nukes all over the country. And while it is not a very large country, it is big enough to hide a 100 odd nukes in disassembled form all over. Somehow I get the feeling that there are no nukes in Balochistan and NWFP. The reason being Pakistani elite from Pakistani Punjab wanting to store all the power around provinces they are confident about. So the concentration of nukes hidden in Punjab, Singh and adjoining areas are more than the southwest and northeastern parts of Pakistan.

russians are following chinese in taking advantage of pakistanis' isolation and investing hell lot of money into their dead enterprises to get more and more money as pakistan is an Indian ocean country with ports available and mines too.

i dont consider usa taking the privilege to disintegrate pakistan and moreover the pakistan is dividing its provinces into smaller ones to deflect the popular anger and displeasure against punjabis.

well well you went too far.... the prime interest and aim of a nation is to secure its citizen and all things related to their benefit and not potential enemy and its sympathizer. hoping that love and goodwill can turn our enemy into peace loving creature is a proven myth. a theory which is still in hypothesis phase. when totally similar korean cannot join in the due course of time how come two nations which have less than 15-20 % similarity and that too thinning with each passing day, can be thought of becoming good neighbors forget friends and merging is not in cold storage.

Theres no doubt of the divide in pakistan, but to break pakistan you need to go for an allout war, which without US help seems very difficult.

It won't be like 71 where we shared a boundary with east pak(which we dont in this case with Baluchistan) and providing supplies was not difficult. What India can do is open up the western front, but that is just inviting a nuclear war(this wont be a bluff cause its question of their survival).

Breaking pakistan is not going to be an easy job, not until its US who's leading the war. Internal damage can be done, but pak has a huge army and China support, since their breaking up wouldn't be in China's interest.

Its very difficult to say how relations between pak and US will unfold, so i think its close to impossible, unless pak army breaks up(coup).

they are geting lots of support these days.

pakistan steel mill is not only getting facelift but also good investment from russia. they are increasing the capacity of that tiny mill to several million tonnes.
they are also giving them helicopters and now, even in the joint statement with India they let go pakistan which is part of joint statement of India and russia in every meet since ages.
recently they also supported pakistani membership in SCO and seemed reluctant in granting India a membership.

though there is lots of engagment between India and russia now also which guarantee decade of ties but the feeling and emotions are out of this tie up.

its a cold hearted and so called professional tie up and partnership.

russia is getting close to pakistan over its die hard anti-american population, its growing isolation and its location. for many geo-political reasons there coziness with pakistan seems obvious and India, is only a rich friend who is scientifically dependent on russia.

A break up of Pakistan is an ideal scenario for India but I think the window of that happening is narrowing down. I say this because so far the US stopped it from happening by funding Pakistan. If the indicators are true and the US is going to stop aid and assistance to Pak, India has to create a mess in Pakistan using covert means before China realizes it has to stop its "no free lunch" policy and starts to bankroll Pakistan out of strategic compulsion. The window is small. Pakistan may have just timed all it's moved perfectly. Breaking Pakistan will take quite a lot and it must be done by India. We have to come good on all the accusations Pakistan is layingon us like involvement in Balochistan.
